Report a translation problem
On Legendary, shotguns on enemies have a very fast reaction time and it one-shots the player/other units from high ranges. They feel like rocket flood but the missile homes in.
I never felt like shotgun flood were an issue in H:CE, but now it stuck out to me much more.
First playthrough felt bug free and fair outside of shotgun flood.

Bugs:
-Shotgun seems a bit underpowered
-Shotgun range also seems to be a bit shorter than expected
-Missing letterbox bars in opening cutscene
-No dialogue at all (assumed copyright reasons though, so I'm okay with missing this)
-Assault rifle does not make any sound
-Assault rifle round impact on hard surfaces sounds weak, no real variance on it depending on the material being shot at
-Shade Turrets seem a bit underpowered
-IIRC, CE had two Banshees in the hanger bay when you were escaping the ship
Nice to haves:
-Auto application of health packs/overshields/invisiblity when walking over them
-Possibly more grenade drops from enemies (can be lessened on higher difficulty)
-I don't remember if shade turrets had physics applied to them in CE, but static turret placement would be nice
-A few locations where enemies would spawn en-masse were underwhelming:
1. First shade turret location under the ship
2. Shade turret location in hanger bay
Other than that, dude. This is by far the most impressive mod I've ever seen. Incredible work, and I cannot WAIT to see what else you convert!
Did you download the suggested custom files from the mod description? Because I think most of your issues are solved by getting them. Also might be the reason for weapons being underpowered as the custom files have the modded versions, as I got my ass handed to me on legendary againts shotgun flood.
Shades were never all that powerful in CE, and combined with their terrible sustained-fire accuracy made them practically worthless except in specific circumstances.
And yeah, there were definitely two Banshees in the original.
As for balancing issues, thank you for reporting them! :)
Balance Suggestions:
-More Flood combat forms that spawn with more weapon variety (I only saw Cov. weapons and shotguns and flamethrowers, no Assault Rifles or Pistols)
-Better tracking on the needler since the AI use the evade from Halo 3
-Shotgun does need a buff for the player and a nerf for the AI (like everyone else has mentioned). I would suggest tightening the spread to help with damage and range so it can feel a bit more consistent while doing the opposite for the AI so it's wont be so frustrating
-Hunters get stuck in the coolant and don't really focus on anything else besides the pop-corn (this is more of bringing awareness to it as I usually run pas that part anyway)
-Fuel Rod grunts gave me more issues than I was expecting. Perhaps lower their rate of fire so they are still dangerous but wont hinder you too much (especially in that hallway outside of the control room)
-Melee feels a bit off. If this is intentional so you're not OP, I can live with that. A tiny damage buff would be nice
Bugs:
-Needler animation does not match the sound when reloading
(All of this is from what I played through on Heroic difficulty. I am excited to come back into the future and see how far you'll go with this mod!)
Keep up the great work, you have no idea how excited I am to get to play my favorite Halo again with such a glow up! Thank you for making this a reality. If this is all that we got, then I would be so happy that I got to experience it once!
(Edit was removing a mention to another Halo modder that apparently is a bit... controversial to put it nicely. I had no idea.)
