Scarrier than the original game?

For me the original game was reeeeaaalllyyy scary and can someone tell me if this one is more/less/the same scary than the original game.

Played more than halfway through and I would say so far this falls to more-or-less as scary. There is a very good atmosphere overall and working your way with the torch is just as nerve wrecking.
