No you can choose to pick a later level depending on where you left off.
There will be another update in about one week, and that may be the last one if all significant issues are wrapped up and feedback addressed.
In my first playthrough, I had something like 25 resin by the time I found my first upgrader. Starting a new game at stage 3 puts me right at that upgrader, but with only 10 resin.
Yeah thanks thats what I ended up doing, I kind of thought I would try that and found a save from about 40 mins earlier that loaded ok and gameplay has continued just fine
This is a really excellent mod my only dislike is after you lose the weapons and have to unpower the machine and kill the hacks with the green orbs you the next level sees you still using the green orbs
I hate the green orbs
I am around at end of chapter one, should I restart from scratch ???
I'm at the point if I have to start the game over from scratch again, I'll just stop playing the game. While I understand this is necessary from a developer perspective, starting a game over from the beginning, when I'm near the end, is certainly frustrating. Replaying this game for a 3rd time, not because I want to, but rather because I have to due to game mechanics beyond any control, has certainly poisoned my desire to complete the game.
You don’t have to start the entire mod over again, you can just choose the level you were on and start from there.
Thank you for responding.
Thank you for taking the time to help me understand.
No, the issue is going to a previous saved section at all. After the mod is updated you have to select what level you were on and start a new game, because all the old save files are corrupted.
I'm new to gaming mods, so when you say "After the mod is updated...." How would I know it's updated? Or do I do it manually? Sorry for being a simpleton on this.
