What would YOU like to see in 'The Center: REBORN - Redux'? What areas do you think needs some TLC? What interesting ideas do you have for the 'The Center'?

Perhaps a change to the general environment that surrounds the green obelisk? Iirc its called the snowy Grasslands, and I just think it's a tad plain, perhaps more in the direction of valgueros tundra or fjordurs vardiland or vannaland?

I'm not entirely sure what your capabilities are with a map extension, and I know you gave the underground world a pass in the last version of this map, but an even greater extension to the underground world would be incredible. IMO, returning to this map has made me realize that it is rather small in comparison to modern maps, but where it is small on the surface, perhaps it could be added onto in the underground world. I know that it was always cold down there, and I don't recall if you fixed that or not in the last version, but I think it'd be really interesting to attempt to add an entire zone or two to the area (or at the very least additional caves). The main ideas that always intrigued me were caves connecting to other zones of the map (to lava island, the cliff castle, the redwoods, perhaps the center ledges?) and the idea of implementing volcanic tubes/desert/denser jungle/geysers to that area, stuff inspired by the Journey to The Center of the Earth book/movies. Just give it more character. I'm not sure what your ambitions are for this addon (or the capabilities) but if I was familiar with map development, that's what I'd hit on.

Making the underground world more accessible (or if not, far more valuable to go down to) would also be perhaps an area that I would attack. Incentives (since I imagine that you will likely focus on aberration as before) could be stuff like organic polymer plants, black pearls, or even element ore if you're feeling particularly generous. Try to lend to the map's verticality. Maybe introduce things like natural vines onto the surface (Maybe even too the central island?) Give incentives. I think there are lots of options.

Actually most importantly of all in this map I'd argue though: remove the whale spawns if you can help it. It's a water map, not being able to sail boats in most places sort of sucks. I think they are supposedly there to minimize water bases or raft spam, but sailing the ocean blue definitely made an impression on me with this map when I first played it (before they were added).

Could you add more types of biomes to the map such as ...
- Bamboo Forest - Maybe one of the middle tropical islands
- Autumn Forest - Maybe part of the redwoods to the south could be converted.
- Savanna - Maybe part of the western grasslands could be converted
- Glowing Blue Swamp - Alter part of the swamps in the ring around the center floating island
(Continued) ...

- Desert - I know there is a mod that adds a desert island but it is not as fleshed out as it could be. Perhaps putting the desert on the other side of the savanna
- Tar Pits - Either on the plains or Volcanic. Though i did really like your ash forest and stuff in the last version.
- Sulphur Fields - Defiantly on the volcanic island.
- ??? - So there is an area under the floating island in the center which is just boring beaches. you should give it a unique biome. I am not sure which type would work. Perhaps a marine or unique swamp biome. Or maybe even make it a radiation zone. Since things cannot really get out.
good luck! and I hope you use at least some of my ideas!

Had some more ideas ...
- Tall Jungle Trees from Lost Island (the ones you can put tree platforms on) could be added to one of the middle jungle islands to make it look like an old growth rainforest.
- Red Forest (like the ones in Fjordur) could be added next to the Autumn forest (which is also in Fjordur)
- Mediterranean / Scrubland - could be put near the new savanna and desert biomes or even on their own island. There are a few tiny tropical islands out there that could be converted to that instead of just another tropical beach biome. Or even just make your own new one! (if it doesn't mess up the ocean below)

A giant bee honey area, like the bee cave found on crystal isles, this could be in the underworld area as an extension of it, or it could be the tlc to the bear cave, I just think large spots of honey are pretty cool in a biome sense

Please dont make this have all dinos, all engrams, all resources, all biomes. Every map tries to do that and it just makes them all the same.

I think this is great idea. A more intense swamp (perhaps even a connection to the underground world?) would be a great idea. I like the mangrove biome that genesis implemented, but perhaps go easy on some of the creatures. I would agree that trying to cram anything and everything in this map would be a mistake. People look for a different experience, not a similar one to what they already have. The areas beyond the edge of the world (empty ocean biome bellow the edge) might also be something to add onto somehow. Not sure what you'd want to do with that though, but at the moment it is wasted space.

There's easily enough space to add a ton of islands in either area listed, and whatever theme you want to go with them. The are under the center is likely somewhat dark so would fit a bio-luminescent theme as well, while the water areas past the edge could be anything. Maybe even just some sort of more fleshed out water biome. Perhaps go off of the mysterious nature of "the edge of the world" and try to add weird effects or secret areas like eldrich islands, maybe bathed with radiation so you can't easily fly to them?

I like this idea. Also maybe a small cave like in Fjourdur with just dung beetles.
