You'll find them in places you might find military loot - such as Army Surplus, Louisville Military Cordon and random safehouses, etc.
You'll find them in more gun and survivalist themed loot spots, although the Army version is also found exclusively in Army loot, the Ready Prep version has exclusive rights to Army Surplus loot locations and the Tartan variant turns up most readily in civilian loot spots like homes, camping and golfing clubs.
Rarely spawns with Serum and Medicine inside them. Serum removes all forms of sickness immediately, and the extreme sugar content chases away some of your tiredness, but bombards you with carbohydrates. Medicine is said to help recover from the flu, but also dulls pain at the cost of making you drowsy. Also contains a hefty hit of protein.
Both of these taste absolutely terrible, so prepare to lose a chunk of happiness if you force them down your survivors throat.
You'll find the regular gym bottles in places where sporty activity and fitness takes place such as gyms and other locker rooms including school lockers, as well as a small chance to be found in places where other plastic bottles are stashed.
The rare Spiffo variant is a piece of merchandise from a failed advertisement campaign where random customers to Spiffo Burger stores were bestowed a bottle of Spiffoade, a new energy drink on the market that really puts a pep in your step. The product ended up being recalled a month before the Knox outbreak due to health concerns, but some of them are still floating around in places where you might find Spiffo merchandise and other likely locations such as Pawn Shops.
Expect to find them unsealed and still full of the mysterious energy drink that has an impressive effect on your fatigue level when drunk.
You'll find it in all the usual places you might stumble upon bourbon in the game, although rarely.
The Spiffo version is once again rare collectible merchandise from an old Spiffo's Burgers promotion long since passed, but you can still find them knocking around from time to time. Slightly smaller with less capacity than the metal flask, and made of plastic instead of metal. Sometimes you might even find some Spiffo Juice inside, lucky you! No matter how old you are, Spiffo Juice is guaranteed to lift your spirits!
Due to its status as both a beloved toy of children and a prized collectible for those with an eye for rarities, Spiffo Flasks can be found wherever children dwell, as well as around antiques and pawn shops.
In gameplay terms is meant more for long term storage / easier short term movement of vast quantities of water such as filling a water dispenser or gathering fresh water from taps before the water is cut off, but could also be useful to leave in the car for water refills when away from home for long periods of time as well.
Can be found in places where water is being mass used by many people - festivals, offices, gas stations, medical facilities and also on keen survivalists and inside their safehouses.
All of these cannot be found in game anywhere and must be crafted. The small and large waterskin rely on the extraction of bladders found in footballs and soccer balls so some sports looting will be required, but the quality waterskin requires a fresh rabbit pelt in order to make, so you'll need to do a spot of trapping for that.
The orange jerry can holds twice the amount of the standard gas can but only weighs one and a half times its usual weight, and can be found in all the usual places you might come across a normal gas can, but is much rarer and typically spawns only 10% as much as normal gas cans.
The army green jumbo jerry can is service and military grade, holding four times the amount of gasoline a regular gas can can hold while only weighing as much as three full gas cans - these are much less common than the regular jerry can, found only in service vehicles such as Fire Trucks and also in Army loot lists, but it can also be found in safehouses and in survivor loot as well.
