Backstory Typos Roundup
A bit too text-wally for the comments. Here's every error I found while taking a glance at the backstories.

Gene-Modded Beauty - Capitalized the I in "is" when it should be lowercase

Drill Operator - Should be "the discovery of insectoid" instead of "discovery of insectoid"

Walker Engineer - Should probably be "cost them their creativity" instead of "cost their creativity"

Barber - Second sentence starts weird, should be "He/She knows"

Addicted Gamer - Second sentence uses "His/her" instead of "He/She"

Vatgrown Colonist - Male variant, first sentence should be "his" Glitterworld instead of "him"

Structural Engineer - Second sentence should be "he/she" instead of "him/her"

Wretched Child - Male variant, first sentence should be "his" instead of "him"

Gifted Burnout - Male variant, last sentence should be "his" instead of "him"

Forgotten Child - should be "antique", not "antic". Tense in second sentence is also weird, recommend changing to "he wandered in and NOW tells of"

Industrial Tinkerer - Last sentence, should be "he/she" is high strung, instead of "his/her"

Reincarnated Soul - Second sentence, should be "his", not "him"

Ship Salvager - Uses "Himself" in both gender variants

Food Critic - First sentence should be "his/her", not "he/she"

Oracle - Should be "She/He", not "Her/Him" in last sentence

Apprentice - Should be "She/He", not "Her/Him" in second sentence

Corporate Spy - The first "he/she" in the last sentence should be "him/her"

Bull leaper - Second sentence, "he/she" should be "him/her"

Cult Leader - Second sentence, "his/her" should be "he/she"

Standard-bearer - Second sentence, "his/her" should be "he/she"

Midworld Programmer - Should be "medical software", not "Medicine software"

Landsknecht - Second sentence uses "his" regardless of gender

Landscape Painter - No errors, but second sentence is kind of awkward, "fund the costs of living, though it resulted in making [him/her] somewhat reclusive" would flow better

Dietetician - Should be "its", not "it's"

Art Critic - Somewhat of a run-on sentence, a period after "critics" would flow better

Tax Collector - Second sentence, should be "he/she" instead of "him/her"

Mattress Tester - "Contracually" should be "Contractually"

Extranet Troll - First sentence says "his" regardless of pawn gender

Prosecuted War Veteran - A bunch of stuff, here we go: First sentence is present tense when it should be past, second sentence says "Turning the war" which I assume should be "During", also "were" should be "was". Final sentence, uses "he/she" which should be "him/her", and re-integrating should be one hyphened word.

Incompetent Pilot - Uses male pronouns quite a few times regardless of pawn gender

Marauder, second sentence should be "he/she", not "him/her"

Pond Designer - Third sentence, should be "ponds" instead of "pond". Also "for [him/her], who left everything" comes across oddly, would suggest changing to "for [pawn name], who left everything"

Chemfuel Farmer - Last sentence uses male pronouns regardless of pawn gender

Train Driver - The sentence that starts with "One day" uses male pronouns regardless of pawn gender.

Medical Prodigy - Is actually called "Medicine Prodigy" in-game, Medical Prodigy sounds much more natural

Olive Farmer - Female variant uses "his" instead of "her" possessions in third sentence.

Child of The Anima Tree - Third sentence uses "Him/her" instead of "he/she"

Animatronic Mechanic - Should be "used to be" instead of "use to be"

Sim-raised - Male variant uses "His" instead of "him"

Blacksmith Apprentice - Male variant uses "him" instead of "his" throughout

Pod Child - Second sentence makes no sense, I assume it should be "Pawn's parents loaded him/her into a shuttle" instead

Forsaken Patriot - Both variants use she/he instead of her/him in second sentence

Deposed Royalty - Male variant uses "his" instead of "him" in second sentence

Bioweapon - Tense is wrong in last sentence, managing is present tense, destroyed is past. Should either be "later managing ... destroy" or "she later managed ... destroyed"

Catastrophe - Both variants use she/he instead of her/him in second sentence

Literary Critic, Male variant uses "him" instead of "his" in last sentence

Rodent Rancher - Male variant uses "him" instead of "his" in first sentence

Blackguard - First sentence is a run-on, needs commas

Cosplay Enthusiast - Breaks vanilla syntax by not listing the pawn's name

Some definitions use gender neutral pronouns rather than placeholders for gendered pronouns. This on its own is alright, but inconsistent with other descriptions, sometimes even within the same description. Here are the ones I found: criminal priest, gene-modded beauty, midworld nomad, dog walker, cannibalistic surgeon, troupe child, walker engineer, lighthouse keeper, barber, structural engineer. Probably a lot more; I didn't check every one.

The cult leader contains this sentence: "Torturing and sacrificing people was on the daily matter to ensure satisfaction of their always hungry for pain and suffer God." Which is just very confusing. I would write it as "Always hungry for pain and suffering, [PAWN_possessive] God demanded daily torture and sacrifice to remain satisfied."

I just went ahead and fixed these issues myself. I might have missed a few, just let me know. If anyone's interested, just apply this patch using git apply[duckduckgo.com]: https://gist.github.com/fofajardo/196325fe4dfedacb086f5e92f1b0d0bf (link updated, I've recently merged GitHub accounts and didn't realize that I had published gits with the one I've just deleted...)

I don't think I can provide a modified copy of this mod legally since it's not under any open source license AFAICT, so just apply the patch on the directory where the Vanilla Backstories Expanded mod is located.

Thank you OP for summarizing these. I was actually considering doing it myself, but I'm so glad I don't have to. Disabling the mod for now, it's breaking immersion completely.
