Diplomacy

Possible bug - Men referred with female nouns
This isn't a 100% guaranteed bug caused by diplomacy mod (as I've done things I never done in the regular version). Basically, as a result of the bug, many lords are referred to with "she" "her" etc. Most recently, I convinced Sebula Noyan to join my growing kingdom (so I could have his castle) he joined my kingdom under the name "Lady Sebula".

This may be a result of diplomacy mod, or it may be a result of playing as a female character for the first time (not counting spending 23 days on the unmodded version before I found diplomacy mod). I think there may have even been a few other things that were different, but I'm not completely sure if they happened early enough for it to have changed anything (infact some happened after it started.)

The two most noticed things I've seen of this happening are.

1. Ransom or breakout a prisoner quest - Whenever I ask a Lady if there's anything I can do to win her favour, she asks me to help break out her relative but whenever referring to the MALE relative, the lady keeps using female nouns "She" "Her" etc. (This may also have happened with Lords with this quest, but I haven't gotten this type of quest from them often enough to notice).
2. Lady Sebula - Basically, when I ask someone to become my vassal, and I'm sucessful, they will be referred to as "Lady". The same thing even happened when making Rolf into a vassal and "Rolf" became "Lady Rolf". (This does not happen if a lord comes to me and asks to become my vassal.)

there is lots of mods where females are lords, that interfere with the mechanics, so they often are refered to as he or him, i cant remember if diplomacy has female lords, but might be the same problem, the game simply sees the lord as the opposite gender, hope it makes sense

i have no solosion for the problem, it might be a save file that is wrong, or something like it, or you might not have downloaded the mod properly, or it might just be a simple fault in the mod

Not sure about the save file (I don't really touch them)
Not downloading the mod properly, I didn't really have to do anything besides hitting "subscribe" and it auto downloaded for me.

This isn't a LARGE problem bug, infact it's kind of funny, but it's just a heads up to anyone who cares to listen.

This is actually just a bug with the default "native" game. A lot of pronouns are screwed up. If you're a female monarch people will often say things like "My monarch is (insert female character name) He is a great lord" etc.

What's stranger is when people talk to you about the war or etc when you are monarch. "(player name) feels he/she must persue the war for honor". When did I ever say anything about wanting to continue for honor o.o...

Especially when talking to the guild master "but don't tell (playername) I said that, just say the people of (town)"

How about this when talking to guild master
Player: What is player's policy in regards to other realms of calradia?

or

Player: What is the cause of all these wars in calradia?
Guild master: (etc etc etc, skipping a bit) But if Player were to ask for my advice on these matters, as a loyal subject, I would tell him/her that while his/her claim to all of Calradia is truly just, even the most legitimate claim (etc etc etc), so sometimes the best way to push a claim is not to push it, if you know what I mean... You may tell Player this if you see him/her. Don't mention my name specifically -- just say 'the people of Town' told you this. Our personal opinion, of course, as to what would be in Player's best interests.
Ugh, ♥♥♥♥ this post. That's such a trans-misogynistic thing to say. I'm going back to Tumblr.

I honestly don't care, it's a good laugh though when a lord says "I'm a simple woman" or a lady refers to her son/husband as a girl.

That particular string in the screenshot was changed to accomodate both male and female lords, it really shouldn't be happening. With regards to player kingdom titles, there's a presentation that customizes those. I'll tweak the lady dialog to no longer use reg0, which is overwritten by pretty much everything.

I'll add a couple of extra dialogues so guildmasters no longer talk about your ruling character in the third person.

I have had my first experience with this now and it really is hilarious but such a weird thing to happen... :steamhappy:
