Chamberlain Help

I just brought one of my Native games into diplomacy, and the first message was about Hiring a Chamberlain. I hired him, and now I can't find him. He is suppossed to be at my court, but I only have villages. My wife is at Praven (Father's Town) but the Chamberlain isn't there either. Any help would be apreciated.

if you only have villages, he should be around the village elder, i cant remember if he is in every village, or only one, but he should be in one of them
