Both players are controlling the left side
Using keyboard and mouse+dualshock4

Hi! I've been having the same issue. I got it to work properly with Steam controller + PS4 dualshock in Remote play for a bit on my first day, but then it suddenly stopped working out of nowhere!
Now, both players control the left side and I can't select the second player.

Try connecting the controller during the loading screen

nvm i got it to work. follow this & make sure to run the exec split-screen.txt command every time

It shows me the error "exec: couldn't exec splitscreen.txt"

I'm having this same issue. When the game starts the keyboard and controller are on right and left respectively. Then when I press a button on the Xbox one controller, control shifts to that character for both the keyboard and Xbox controller.
