STALKER Armor Pack - Update 5
Hello everyone.

This will be the last update of the STALKER Armor Pack before release. The release is very close. To start the update, I want to show you a simple diagram with the different outfits that will be in the pack. This diagram does not include the gas masks and head pieces, as those were in a previous update:

You can see they are divided in Tiers. This is simply a guidance on the different types of outfits and armours, but this does not mean that the Tier 9 will be better than the Tier 5.

Tier 1 is simply the Rookie Jackets, famous outfit in STALKER. Tier 2 is the Sunrise tier. You see there is a bunch of Loner Suits, and plenty of each faction. Most will share very similar stats, although my original idea is that the Loner suits are slightly different from each other (even though they are already different in colours).

Tier 3 are different armours in style, that will have similar stats to Tier 2. Tier 4 are the Berril suits for each faction. Tier 5 are the different "NBC" suits, although for the full NBC look you will want gas masks too. The stats of this outfit are meant to be higher in terms of chemical and "radiation" protection, however, we do not have this in PZ, so I am not sure what to do about its stats yet. Here we also have the SSP-99M, which is the Ecologists suit that look similar to the SEVA, these come in six different colours.

Tier 6 is simply the SEVA suits. Some factions have two different ones, which will also have different stats. Tier 7 is the Skat-9 outfit, which is considerably better in terms of bullet protection than for example, the Tier 2 and 3.

Lastly there is Tier 8 and 9, which are the Exosuits and Exoskeletons. My original idea is that you are slower with these, but offer great protection against bullets, bites and scratches, and likely, if possible, let you carry more items (as your strength is increased).

Then there is the Patch system, which I explained in the previous update. And the Back Attachments, which are simply a new slottable object that has the Exoskeleton Power Supply, the breathing systems and an Oxygen Tank.

An important point to speak about, is again, the use of Oxygen Tank, NBC outfits or SEVA outfits. Project Zomboid has no vanilla radiation or toxic system, so there is no stat to balance these. The Oxygen Tank, is, if anything, just a cosmetic object, rather than something actually usable in the game. I will try to balance the NBC and SEVA properly so that it doesn't end up being useless, however. By how the game works, you will also be capable of equipping both all these Back Attachments and a backpack. You are not meant to do this, but I believe there is no way to avoid this- I do not want either of these objects to become backpacks and use the same slot.

Another system I was thinking of, is to let players be able to remove the filters of the gas masks, and insert them again. I was already implementing it, however I am not sure it is fully necessary, at least for now. It would be very cool to have it, if in the future we have some sort of radiation mod. However I may think of eventually including it for the use of Toxic Zone and Air mods, although I do not know how to do a patch. I am an artist, not a coder.

The last thing, was about the distributions. The Sunrise Suit (which by the way, there is a new version in the pack) appeared in containers in specific locations. The idea for this pack is that it is similar. But I was thinking of perhaps making some zombies appear with some of the outfits, and wanted to get your thoughts on this.

Anyway, that is all for today. The release is very close. All the outfits are finished, all the textures and models are finished. What remains now is to properly rename some outfits, and balance everything with their stats. Lastly, I will have to do the whole distribution file, and do some testing.

Thank you everyone for all your support and patience.

You can totally have the filter thing as there is a toxic fog mod and anomaly storm mod as well that require gas masks so be great to see filter changes required

can also ask the modders of the susceptible mod see if they can make their mod compatible with your masks ,oxygen tanks, and NBC suits

Thanks for the feedback. I made a functionality for the gas masks to change filters. However, I'm not a coder and have no clue how to make them run out. Hopefully any of the other modders can implement it somehow.
