Hints to solve the room
Hints to solve the room

WARNING Even the naming of the hints may already give some spoilers, so be careful.

Hints:

  1. Start: You need a key to open this chest. Did you see that the barrels could move?

  2. An umbrella: I think you can use this umbrella to press something. But where and in what order?

  3. The order: Did you see that the wooden shutter opens?

  4. A wand: There is bound to be a shop that will give you a baguette. Open the box and take it.

  5. A closed door: Have you tried using your wand?

  6. Coloured padlock:
    1. Find the key behind the board and the paper in the left drawer.
    2. The blackboard tells you that you need a result of 24. Add up the numbers using the paper in the drawer (one number up, one down, two up and one down) line by line until you find 24. Transfer the coloured numbers to the lock and you're done.

  7. Platform 93/4:
    1. Did you look in the back of the shop?
    2. An owl holds a strange envelope in its mouth. Try to open the cage.
    3. the key found earlier should open a brick wall

  8. Exit the cabin: Have you seen the suitcase on top of the bench?

  9. Open the first cabin: Did you see through the window? It looks like there are three candies and you need a three-digit code.

  10. Open the second cabin: There must be a key in the black suitcase in the first cabin. Don't forget to stick to the window of the second cabin, Neville heard a strange noise.

  11. The suitcase: Scare the Dementors away and look at the marks they have left on the windows.

  12. Chocolate frog: There are stars behind the cards. There must be a 4 digit box somewhere

  13. The lanterns: Bring the light from the red lantern to the lantern nearest the right door. Point the last lantern at the Gold Star.

  14. The rope: A rope is missing on the wall.

  15. Puzzle: The two parts of the puzzle must fit into a wooden square.

  16. Torches: We would say that the puzzle on the wall represents the location of the torches with their names. Sometimes you have to look carefully and not just at the ground.

For those struggling with the candies and the 3 digit lock. The candies in the cart show you the order, and you have to go back to the candy cart at the back and count the corresponding candies. That's your combination.

Couldn't get into the train room opposite the candy trolley, what's up with that? Needed a silver key which we already used?

Same issue here with the train station- I have the ticket and can run through the wooden doors and hit the brick wall. I can't go through it. I don't see a way to use the wand, which the hint implies.

The coloring on the padlock was super confusing for me. I didn't know there was a yellow when it looked like two oranges.
