Also, the balancing and XP gain needs work. Just disassembling 3 houses worth of metal items and I'm already level 6 metalworking. Especially crafting nails and screws. I could probably powerlevel my way to level 10 metalworking just by building all the scrap and everything up to pipes, then break it all the way back down to scrap, and make nails. It'd be a gigantic pile of nails when I'm done, but I bet I'd hit max level in metalworking easily along the way. I'd say reduce nails and screw crafting xp by a factor of 95%, or increase the number of scrap required to make them from 1 to 20 or something like that.
Anyway, gripes aside, I love your mod, it's fantastic for long term base building, just needs some balancing and to stop melting down my damned screwdriver =)
Edit - Oh, another thing, your recipes don't recognize the welding mask if it is favorited, likely because it also can be disassembled. Meaning you have to unfavorite your mask for recipes to recognize you're wearing it, however you then run the risk of accidentally melting down your mask, or dropping it on the floor on accident since you can't keep it a favorite item. Thanks again!
1. just managed to get the favorites to not be consumed when disassembling/ripping
2. the metal items will be reduced from 0.75exp to 0.25exp
3. still investigating the weldingmask issue, but it's not supposed to be disassembled anyway
Crafting one from a metal bar might make sense though
That would be an awesome recipe as the crowbar seems to be non-existent at times, and it's the only tool that lets you remove windows completely.
Added the crowbar recipe
Also maybe lowering the vanilla tailoring lvl required to patch holes/repair normal clothes if that's possible, since this allows repairing vests at lvl 4, maybe normal clothes can be lvl 4 and vests lvl 6/8.
The vehicle mod requires it as all recipes need scrap metal and metal components which the recycling mod gives. It works without it but will decrease functionality.
If you used my mod exclusively you'd notice the recipes while giving more scrap also require a lot of it to make useful items which makes it even more hardcore in terms of material needs.
The window repair kits is an idea i previously explored but there's not much i can work with in the vanilla game to craft one realistically.
Will not provide compatibility support with other recycling mods as it makes no sense, each has it's own balancing and will be a mess of unbalanced recipes in the end. It's your decision which you want to use.
