Craftable Accessories

This mod's recipes are thoroughly confusing
There are so many items that this mod's recipes for make no sense. Chiefly, WAY TOO MANY THINGS are just metals and silk and gel, many of the below fall under this. I get that it's meant to be a convenience mod, but come on, items should have ingredients that make sense as part of the item.
  • The Treasure Magnet should require you to actually go through progression instead of just gathering basic resources (and breaks any modpack with Fargo's Mutant Mod, but the dev's already said that they don't care)
  • The Hardmode Yoyo Glove is obtainable pre-boss with just resources that can be gathered on the first day.
  • The Celestial Magnet is heavily unbalanced for an item that can also be obtained on the first night.
  • The Anklet of the Wind contains no Jungle items whatsoever, instead needing Clouds just like the Shiny Red Balloon, something that you would expect to need sky items for.
  • The Shark Tooth Necklace's crafting recipe requires Rope, Iron Bars, and Wood, none of which would be part of the item itself (for something like the Depth Meter I could see it, but not something made of shark teeth and a band.)
  • The Hand Warmer requires LAVA for some dumb reason. Lava won't keep your hands warm, it'll burn them off.
  • The Sandstorm in a Bottle needs Desert Fossils when you almost always want Sturdy Fossils and that's what you need to craft everything else under the sun.
  • The Feral Claws require Jungle Grass Seeds for some reason (and it's one of the times that silk would have made sense, too...)
  • The Pocket Mirror can be crafted in Pre-Hardmode when it's totally useless, and it needs no glass or metals but Silk and Gel and Smooth Marble, which make no sense whatsoever except for the last one since Medusa only spawns in the Marble Caves.
  • The Paint Sprayer requires specifically Blue Paint and no other color works. Why not just an "Any Paint" group?
  • The Fledgling Wings require Clouds, even though Feathers make perfect sense for them. The wings are made of feathers and the Harpies that drop them are found in the sky just like the Wings.
  • The Hardmode Armor Polish can be crafted with the classic metals, silk and gel, even though you can literally just Google what shoe polish is made of and work based on that.
  • The Bezoar needs Silk. I can see the gel based on IRL bezoars being formations in your GI tract and Stingers because Hornets drop them, but dear God man, stop with the Silk, Cobweb is already annoying enough to obtain if you haven't found any spider nest.
  • The Hardmode Megaphone requires Glowsticks, Silk, and Gel. WHAT? WHY??? I see no logic other than "the Green Jellyfish drops it so of course it has glowsticks in it". Megaphones are made of plastic, but there isn't plastic in Terraria so this is one of the times where metal would make sense but isn't present.
  • The Hardmode Trifold Map requires Rubies. 20 OF THEM. I give up. This is meant to be a convenience mod, correct? Getting one ruby for King Slime's spawner is painful enough, why twenty for this random item? It doesn't have anything to do with the enemies that drop it, for sure.
  • The Titan Glove's recipe is post-Destroyer, since it needs a whopping 10 Souls of Might to make. If it only costs 1 to empower a drill to be able to mine (most of) the world's hardest materials, it shouldn't cost 10 to make a glove make you a bit stronger.
  • The Rifle Scope requires a Lihzahrd Power Cell. There's a limited number of these spawned in Temple chests, and then you have to farm Temple enemies for a 2% chance drop. Why even go through that effort when you could just look for Skeleton Snipers? This single material defeats the entire purpose of the recipe. I thought this mod was for convenience and reducing grinding. Same with the Black Belt.
  • The Moon Charm requires Iron Bars and Souls of Fright, making its recipe post-Prime. The thing doesn't seem to be made of metal, and turning into a werewolf makes you stronger so I'd think it would be crafted with Souls of Might if a mech boss soul must be used.
  • The Magic Quiver requires specifically Jester's Arrows and, sigh, Souls of Might, making its recipe post-Destroyer.
  • The Discount Card is craftable with money, and it's craftable pre-boss. This item is too powerful for the cost of 2 gold and some easily obtainable resources, even the Celebrationmk10 seed goes out of its way to make you need to go through the pirates to get it. Similar deal with the Lucky Coin and Gold Ring, getting the Greedy Ring pre-boss just seems absurd to me. This can also be exploited by making the two cheaper accessories twice and shimmering the duplicate into a Lucky Coin, giving you a big discount on it.
  • The Frozen Turtle Shell's recipe is also locked behind the Destroyer. Since the evils can corrupt the Underground Tundra, I think it would make a lot more sense if it used the biome souls, which also keeps it Hardmode-only.
  • The Flesh Knuckles are, again, recipe-locked by Souls of Fright. They're made using Crimstone Blocks, even though the name indicates they should be made of Vertebrae or Flesh Samples. The Putrid Scent too, considering how putrid it smells, it should probably have Rotten Flesh in there.
  • The Lavaproof Fishing Hook requires 12 Angler Earrings. Holy crap, nobody is sitting through that many fishing quests!
  • The Paladin's Shield is obtainable post-Destroyer, but pre-Plantera. I know it's rather useless, but that's stupid considering the accessories it can be crafted into and how useful it is in modded multiplayer.
  • The Sun Stone is a minor example. It needs Souls of Might for no discernible reason.
  • The Neptune's Shell, along with the Rifle Scope and Lavaproof Fishing Hook, are what broke me. This thing. Is a shell. There are other shells in the game. AND YET IT'S MADE OF METAL. And it's also locked behind both the Twins and Prime, meaning you need to run through the hardest mech boss alongside another before you can get this accessory, which is rather mediocre for that time without combining it into the Moon Shell. I have run out of energy for discussing this.

Edit: OH GOD, THERE'S WORSE

  • The Ankh Charm overall. The Armor Bracing's components are really easy to craft, the Bezoar can be obtained easily and another shimmered into the Adhesive Bandage for a quick and easy Medicated Bandage, The Plan needs a ton of Rubies to make two Trifold Maps and shimmer the second to circumvent the Pixie Dust of the Fast Clock but is still technically obtainable pre-boss, obtaining the Megaphone and shimmering it into the Nazar is trivial for the Countercurse Mantra, and both components of the Reflective Shades have been mentioned above. They're both pre-boss too. Pre-hardmode Ankh Shield, anyone?
  • More individual components:
    • Vitamins need Deathweed Seeds, Silk, and Gel to craft. Not only does this make absolutely zero sense, but they can be obtained pre-boss as well.
    • The Adhesive Bandage needs 20 MANDIBLE BLADES to craft. Those drop from Antlion Chargers and Swarmers at a 2% chance. Each. That's a 0.00000000000000000000000000000001048576% chance of ever getting that many. I must assume that the creator meant Antlion Mandibles, which would be far more reasonable.
  • The Tabi can be crafted post-Destroyer. The Black Belt requires a Lihzahrd Power Cell, presumably to avoid such a bit sequence break... but any Terrarian worth their salt could hoik into the Temple and snag one. So you can make Master Ninja Gear pre-2 mechs.

Just curious, what's your favorite ridiculous crafting recipe from this mod? Because there are so many that I don't have a favorite myself :gr18_zip:

its kinda hard to look through each and every new recipe, but ill just say that some of the recipes just kinda break the progression, like dunerider boots being ridiculously easy to craft. kinda makes the game too easy, but thats just me

Dunerider boots? I honestly forgot those existed, lol. Silk is the key to the kingdom of sequence breaking and unbalanced garbage in this mod, I swear.

Steam fooled me and didn't show any notifications. I think I'm gonna rebalance the recipes again cause you're pretty right. The update was rushed, that's why this happened.
Thanks for telling me, as I don't think I would notice it myself.

O.o I thought you just didn't care about balance, well thanks anyway!
