Map Glitch
When I try to use this mod I have only the default maps stuck at 1000 stars that don't spawn correctly.

Are you saying that you can't cycle through the maps and that the 1000 stars map doesn't spawn correctly when loading?

Also, can you provide the log file for error.log? Would help figure out if there are any logged errors.

Sorry for the late reply. When I go to the map selection instead of seeing the maps from the mod I only see the default maps. If I try to select a star count other than 1000 than it simply cycles to 1000 again.

If I then try to start the game anyway the galaxy is nothing more than a single line of stars. I play with a lot of mods so I'm not sure what might be causing a conflict. I don't know how to provide the log file for you to examine, sorry.

If you know of any conflicts that might occur with other mods I can try to find which one it is.

Thanks for the reply. I think I understand what may be the problem and will try to make some future changes to see if that solves it.

Error logs are usually found at
C:\Users\fakeuser\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs\error.log

Also, try and run the mod only by itself or see what it mod breaks with it if you can. This can help me figure out additional problems and provide better support for use with other mods.

I too have encountered this issue, however with a strange quirk. I tried using this mod in my current modded playlist, but still encountering the same issues as the op. However, upon generating a new save, the galaxy would be a normal elliptical galaxy, but there would also be this massive cluster of new star systems that filled up the empty space at the center of the galaxy, which got denser the closer to the center got. Honestly it was quite the sight to behold, and probably made the galaxy much more realistic (i think the cores of galaxies are more dense than the rings/arms i may be wrong). The sheer number of stars made seeing them individually a bit challenging as all the names just overlapped. But there was coherent starlanes that neatly connected all of them together. There weren't any overlapping stars, and it all seemed really organized, almost like an intentional feature. Would honestly love to see this as a separate mod of its own (though personally i would make black holes spawn more at the center for more realism).

But i did seem to find a solution, as moving this mod to the very top of my playlist finally allowed the galaxies to generate as it should. I think i might move the mod back to where it was so i can experience that strange, but awesome, galactic core.

Can you send an image and link it through imgur? I'd like to see what it is the game has been producing.

Can you send an image and link it through imger? I'd like to see what it is the game has been producing.
Also, can you list what DLC's you have? I usually test it with only the Horizon Event signal since that's the only DLC I own at the moment. So I'd be glad if you have any problems with the other parts of the game.

i'm using all the dlcs, (my wallet cried). I'll send some screenshots, it'll just take a bit to do with long loading times

i've tried several times but i just can't seem to get it to replicate the same thing as before, as now the galaxy generation just works no matter where i put it in my playlist. this is very disappointing

Huh, that is indeed strange. I'm wondering if it's just some game engine problem when generating visuals (since it seems that's how map loading seems to work initially?). Are you still able to choose what star count during map selection?

yeah, now i am able to choose no matter where i put the mod in my playlist. on first impression of the galactic core cluster made me think that it used the amount of extra stars in your mod to generate a regular elliptical galaxy but overfilled into the center because of all the extra stars. i have no idea how the mod seems to have fixed itself but i hope i encounter that bug again so i can document it

Can you look in the error.log and attach it to a pastebin?

if this shows up again, I would ask the dev to change one of the maps to have default = yes in it and then have users click "reset to default" in the map creation screen. this will set the selected map to the default map, which will be from this mod.

Same here! Only 1 galaxy type is selectable, 1000. And no other galaxies will spawn.
