Issues with launching Co-Op?

Steam Workshop has had issues with downloading maps properly, especially when an update comes out. If you have issues with connecting to each other, then have all players redownload the map. If that doesn't fix it, then do other network related fixes like fixing NAT type etc.

Every time my boyfriend and I try to play this map locally on my PC, it freezes, kicks us out and completely freezes up my computer. I'm assuming this isn't supposed to happen?
