1.5 PLAN
The following content is under development and not finalized:


[New Building: Automaton Assembly Station]

- A dedicated building for assembling and modifying Paniel units.
- When modifying, Paniel will board the building, similar to the gene extraction building, and the modification process will proceed with a separate assembly device attached.


[Paniel Assembly/Modification Dedicated UI]

- The assembly process will change to insert pre-produced parts (using a vanilla-tier system) for final assembly.
- It is also possible to assemble with makeshift parts without inserting anything.
- For genuine Paniel units, the UI will change to an invoice format, and after paying gold or silver, the Paniel will be delivered via drop pod after several days.
- Additional parts, premium parts, chemical fuel, and other materials will be required for the final assembly and modifications.


[Core (Main Module)]

- The existing Automaton Core component.
- The Paniel's skill stats are determined based on the core's tier during assembly.
- After producing an empty core, the item will be used in a central nervous system extraction surgery to complete it.
- Empty cores will be self-produced in the mid-to-late game or purchased from the upper PnL market.
- The existing glass jar will be removed.
- The tier of the core will be determined based on the medical skill level.
- During the extraction surgery, the Paniel specialization (job) will be chosen for extraction. (e.g., - Perfect Domestic Automaton Core / Average Combat Automaton Core, etc.)
- The basic skill values will be determined by the tier, and bonuses will be added based on the extracted subject's skill level (+4 to +6 is being considered). (For domestic units, bonuses in skills like cooking or medicine will be added based on the subject’s skill level.)
- Once the core is created, it cannot be modified or changed (once dreadful, always dreadful).
- Each core will have different skill bonuses, so the core information will be displayed in the assembly UI.


[Assembly Parts]

- The unified buffs for each tier in the existing Paniel system will now be distributed among various body parts.
- Main Frame (Body): Consciousness buff.
- Arms/Legs: Efficiency for each limb.
- Shell: Metal parts that apply a full-body defense bonus based on the material and tier.
- Modules: The current module system, which is equipped like clothing, will be changed to a form that requires modification for insertion (modifications needed for each change).
- Appearance: Hair/face can be selected and changed via modifications.
- Custom: Special modification parts such as learning limit removers or revival modules (there will be a limit on the number of special parts that can be equipped).
Initially, only generic parts can be produced, but specialized parts like agricultural assistant arms, surgical assistant arms, and cleaning assistant arms will be added later.


[Repair]

- If an arm or leg is destroyed, it cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced via modification.
- A method for non-destroyed part repairs has not been decided yet (considering adding repair functions to the assembly station, but the current surgical method will not be used).


[Changes Due to the New Production System & Others]

- Previously, a "common" Paniel would remain common until the end, but now only the core (skills) will stay common, while the other parts can be upgraded to legendary, etc.
- Skill levels can be upgraded by removing the learning limits through modifications, even with penalties. -> Extending the lifespan of beloved Paniels.
- By transitioning from a dedicated tier system to the vanilla system, increased compatibility is expected (hopefully).
- The highest-grade parts (genuine) cannot be self-produced and must be purchased from PnL merchants or trade ships (other methods are also being considered).

I can’t play RimWorld without the Paniel mod anymore. Thank you for the continued updates.
