Version 3 Update
With the release of the DLC upcoming, I am working on Version 3. This will include a lot of new features and streamlining of options.

Ammo Management will now have a new option called "Limited" which will allow you to fabricate ammo you don't own at 10% markup cost from where you are. So if you need AC20 ammo, it will cost money to refill your ammo bin when you start a work order. If you have the ammo in your inventory, it is free.

Weapon manufacturers and calibers will be removed from the base mod, but added back with "MercTech Expanded"

There is a new option in the gameplay options menu that I added to help me debug, but its available to all if they want it. It will show damage text coming off targets when damaged. It is immersion breaking, but it helps me with seeing if the damage modifiers are applying correctly.

Rear weapons have been added and a new camera has been added that you can switch view. If you are not in the rear view, your rear weapons will auto-fire at targets as they present themselves. You can disable this at anytime by unassigning them from groups.

Tanks are now controllable and modifiable in the vehicle lab. Rules from tabletop have been implemented for it.

One-Shot missile launchers can have different ammo types loaded in them. You can have a LRM-10 (OS) loaded with Swarm missiles if wanted.

thank you for the work and looking forward to the the Expanded mod, I LOVE the attention to detail. I actually cant play mech 5 vanillia, Merc tech is life.

Looking forward to this as with the new patch, Merctech causes instant game crashes upon launch.

It is taking a while, but hoping co-op is working this time. Tearing everything apart and slowly fixing it up.

I now have projectiles dealing damage in co-op for the client. Getting close to a test release of just the weapons firing custom projectiles for co-op.

Your work is incredible. I hope, you'll be consulted on future updates by the game devlopment. Picking up a vanilla game and boosting it incredibly is just awesome. I wish, some game devlopers would invest the same effort on their whole game, though...

Depends on how much the next patch breaks, there will be one with all the bugs reported. Right now I have ammo switching working in co-op, as well as the thermal vision and such. I have to get the ammo to show up in the mechlab so we can do some heavy testing to make sure co-op works properly with weapons and everything fully before I continue with implementing everything else.

Watching this with baited breath. I just got the game and have been playing entirely too much in the short time I've had it. I've been wishing the campaign/management side of the game had more meat to it; as is, after a few hours it feels like it was included out of a sense of obligation or to make the game seem more fleshed out than it is.

To this end I've seen a ton of recommendations for Merctech and it looks awesome. Thank you for all the work you put into it!

Most of the weapon emitters are done, working on fixing up the mechlab to the point where testing can happen.
