Remove Perk Limit Not Removing Limit

This is my first time using the mod, so I apologize if I'm missing something obvious here. I've tried setting the perk limit to 5, 10, and of course, 50, but it always caps at 5 regardless. Am I doing something wrong, or is it bugged?

AAE and AAE lite are the only gameplay mods I have.

I am. I take it they have their own limits? I assumed that didn't matter since starting the map still has it say Perk Limit: 50
