I wanted to play as Lüneburg, which starts as a subject of Brunswick. However, every time I declare independence, I get an event about the succession of the Lüneburger ruler, which causes me to change the player tag to Brunswick, and after one day, the war ends with Lüneburg being inherited.

Is there something I am overlooking or is this a bug?
