When removed from activated mods list it breaks my game

How do I delete without breaking the save file?

Just as the title said. I tried to remove the mod from my playlist and then bam! Grey screen and other bug. I tried using old method that state in the main mod but it not working. I don't want to start my 10 hour colony again. Please help.

You can try removing it in the mod setting in main menu
