Gene-Seed Explained
i'll be cross posting this To the discussions on the Inquistion modpage page as well

So, to anyone wanting to know abvout gene seed, i did a little digging on the rimrimhub discord.
to quote Spencer, the mod creator "So there are 4 separate Gene-Seeds in the files, one for players, one for factions, one for scouts and one for primaris",
BUT, if you install EPOE, you have access to all four in the prothetics bench after researching bionics, i dont know what adding the others will do, but the intended process is to extract them from space marines and get at least five "gene-seed", without the added letters (IE, F - Faction, S-Scout, so on so forth) or primaris.
after which you can easily just plant the gene seed into a colonist. and you just implant gene seed five times, and your done. you have a space marine.

NOTE/WARNING: Making the Gene-seed through the EPOE prothetics bench is NOT RECOMMENDED. 1. it's a bit of cheating since it's Not supposed to go through EPOE according to spencer.
2. it has been known to on occasion Crash your game, but i've seen some people in the discord say it didnt crash them. so do so at your own peril.

How does a non-Imperial colony develop Gene-seeds or their own space marines then?

A Non imperial colony cannot develop gene-seed, neither can a imperial one for that matter, they are not intended to be crafted as of this moment.

HOWEVER. as stated in the post, you can attack adeptus Astartes. these Astarte will spawn in with the gene seed which you can extract from them using a medical operation you preform on prisoners. ((i do not know if it is successfully extracted when using post mortum removal mod or not)

after which, you need five of these extracted geneseeds, after you get five, you can make one of your pawns a fully fledged space marine via a medical operation to implant the gene seed (Note, you will need to preform the operation five times, so just que up five if you have the geneseed and meds)

Hi there, i have a small question. Do you know what "Gene Seed Cultivation (Extreme)" means? Is it an invisible timer or something?
I have a marine with phase 5 gene seed (so, planted 5 times) and they still have this tagged on. Is it precursor to perhaps eventually extracting gene seed from your own Marines to pass on to your next brothers, like in the lore?

How do I extract the Gene-Seed? I'm confused. I apologize.

@freakdemon gene-seed (at least before the update, this guide is almost a year old), was extracted by having astartes prisoners, which you then preformed a medical operation on
