Medieval freezer
Is there ever gonna be a way to reliably freeze food in the medieval era.

Technically there is not unless you can get another mod which somehow adds the ability to lower the temperature below 0°C.
However you can keep food refridgirated using passive coolers and possibly build a freezer if you settle in colder regions.

Maybe a new Building like a Deep cellar Which Take a lot to build and some stone but food stored in it Temp is lowed to 5c Which does not freeze it but makes it last longer

yeah a medieval themed way to better cool food would be quite interesting

There is technically Thermal Cooler.... And it is listed as medieval tech.

Thing is, in the medieval days they did more salting of the meat. There wasn't a "way" to freeze it. Medieval era, the produce that those who butcher or produce is usually eaten X amount before it expires.

This is what I use for my medieval playthroughs. Works wonderful for keeping food frozen

So after you go through all the effort of making soups etc what is the current best way to preserve it ? Without any more mods...

if your talking not using any more mods, the only way to properly freeze it is to spawn in a cold climate, tundra ect, and make a room with a door leading to the outside and hold it open to let the freezing air in.

Thats why i was wondering if they where gonna implement a freezer in the main mod, but instead there was an add on mod made.

Look for the geothermal freezer mod.

VE Classical also provides a source to make a inside freezer for a brief period of time. Then have to rebuild later.

Came here to post this, they have a larger(2x2) version of the passive cooler.
