I have the same overspawn. Dinocount set at 1.7x and the best way to cause the spawn is only kill Gigas that are there, don't kill scouts. Wait a little while and return. Kill giga's again, leave, and return. More scouts than you'll know what to do with if you repeat that 3-4 times.
