Node Controller Renewal 3.5
Simulation freeze since Game Update
Hi there! Every so often when CO updates the game itself: The long search for compatibility issiues starting again. Since some weeks I try hard to find the problem with my game. Everytime when I load my City the Simulation freezes after 2-5 Minutes (0.45x Simulation Speed via PlayIt!). UI and Camera are still working but the simulation itself got stuck. I tried to disable every mod in my list and starting over mod by mod until the problem starts again. And here it is. It's the Node Controller Renewal. I tried older versions via Github all the way back to versions before the major game update. Nothing helps. Compatibility Report does not mention any problem around Node Controller and the log-file does not contain anything related to this problem when it happens. I have 32 GB RAM installed and around 50-60GB Pagefile in use (128 available in total). Until the game update, despite the long loading time with all the assets (arround 8k), it worked like a charme. BTW: I have not purchased the new DLC at the moment because I have no point to do so, maybe later. Here is the output.log file. Maybe someone can find something in the file that I have missed. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gZyUGM12EJ1hQ5EEZgRtLWt6Wd5voZMN/view?usp=sharing

I have the exact same issue. Anyone know how to fix/avoid the issue?

Since there was no solution for me I switched over to the original version of node controller. And have to redo all my intersections and railway nodes...... bad but it's the only solution for me for now.

I got the same problem sadly. I'm trying to switch to original version of node controller. What should I do? Just unsub the renewal and subscribe the original one?

I too have discovered the same issue. Took me a while to narrow down which mod was causing the issue but it definitely had something to do with NCR 3.3.3.3. I'm in the same boat, my intersections are all a mess but small price to pay to be able to recover my city I've been working on for a year!

I got the same issue too,the only way I found to fix is to disable this mod.

I have encountered a similar problem. For me either disabling Node Controller Renewal (NCR) or reverting to a previous save fixes it.

After a lot of experimenting and digging around, I was able to find that the problem was caused by using NCR on one particular node. This problematic node is a middle node between 2 path segments (which are a ground-level segment of vanilla pedestrian path and an elevated segment of this asset. The node is also probably making a connection to the nearby metro station track.)

Whenever I let NCR take control of this node by clicking on it, the game always freezes in about 2 to 20 minutes after unpause (and this time interval seems random, since it is different each time I load the save); but if I revert to a save before NCR taking control of this node and leave it be, the game functions smoothly.

I hope this helps!

This has happened to me this week, same symptoms like you mentioned OP. Have we all come to the conclusion that there seems to be no fix for this? I've tried deleting all the nodes and roads which i'd used NCR on but it still freezes the sim.

I solved this problem by remove hide pedestrian marking mod and remove all citizens by TMPE。By the way you should apply these steps before freezing happens apparently. Hopes could help you
