[Help] Ways of getting stream URLs for the radio
I found these third party videos that may help you getting some proper URLs for the radio. They are made for the Euro Truck Simulator 2 ingame radio, but they work with this addon aswell. These will show you how to extract streams from various webpages. Not every webpage works the same, but they should be quit similar. You might need to adjust a bit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3Es00azAT4

If you want to extract the URL of your favourite station's webpage these methods will most likely work. I will not do individual support of your case if it doesn't work. So please don't ask how to extract URLs from your favourite webpages. You can however post and discuss your favorite stations here. You can also post your own way of URL extracting.

Other good sources of radio streams are:
https://directory.shoutcast.com/ (SHOUTcast)
http://dir.xiph.org/ (Icecast)
https://streamurl.link/ (Stream URL search engine)

Use the extract methods mentioned above if necessary.

The recent update improved support for Dropbox URLs, so you don't have to mess with those parameters (?dl=1) anymore. I can recommend to use Dropbox for online files for now.

Remember through, URLs can still go stale or can break without a way for the radio to fix. The URLs to the files need to be publicly accessible.

darn
any way to take a youtube url, convert it and somehow get a way for it too work? ( Obviously not on the yt website, like take the mp3 file and have it able to play it )

Yes and no. It highly depends on the converter service you can use online. Many converter services don't support streaming/hotlinking, which is necessary for the radio to play media from Youtube. Some services explicitly block non-browser (e.g. the GMod binaries) downloads, because that doesn't give them ad revenue.

This addon used to have a automatic converter system, that would convert the song automaticly for you via an API in the background everytime you gave the Radio a Youtube URL. I removed it, because it was unreliable at best and I was annoyed by people crying about stuff not working in the comments and not reading stuff all the time.

Someone posted this link to me. It is quite good.
https://streamurl.link/

It is for radio streams only, though.
