Bugs
Please post bug reports here.
Remember I can't help you unless you give me as much info as possible; at the very least an error message, ideally a full log. How often does it happen? Does it happen every time, or just sometimes? Does it happen in a save without other mods?

I have identified one glitch that does not produce an error message. When placing two DJ stations next to each other(Side by side but not back to back) it makes active disco tiles Light 0%(In darkness) It will even override alternate light sources within range( tested both ways happens regardless). Having alternate light sources overlapping active disco lights can have some strange but so far negligible effects(I had alternating red and blue base game lights complimenting the disco tiles, removing them mid disco can create temporary blacked out tiles but they remain a light source. I am not tragically bothered by it and this mod really rounds out my Rimworld Fantasies but figured it was significant enough to bring to your attention.

Thank you for the detailed report.

Putting two DJ stands on the same dance floor isn't accounted for. I'll fix that.

As for the light level, despite appearances the disco floor doesn't actually produce any light. This is for performance reasons. I'm trying to figure out a way for the floor to produce light without killing performance and once I do they will correctly make the room count as lit up.

My Lit disco tiles are producing 50% light. I destroyed all other light sources in the room and tested it again then tested from pure fresh new game with only essential mods(Prep Carefully, Harmony, Start up impact and Disco) before ever placing a light source and they are still producing light. Happy accident?
Edit: Oh and no noticeable TPS drop

Found the bug, fixed. Thanks. Light level will now not be affected by the disco until I can figure out the performance.

Continuing from the comment, didn't see this discussion thread till now. How should I send you the save? I'll try messing around as well to try and figure out what causes the pawns to freeze. Also I'm not sure what causes it but sometimes when pressing the skip song/sequence button, the game full blown just crashes. How could I retrieve that log if it does it again?

If you could put the save on Google drive and send me a link that would work. Add me as a friend if you don't want to post it publicly.

The game crashing is more concerning. If that happens again, you can find the log by doing this:

1. Type %appdata% the Windows search bar, press enter. This will open a folder called 'Roaming'.
2. Go up a folder, then open a folder called 'LocalLow'.
3. Open 'Ludeon Studios', then 'Rimworld'.
4. Inside this Rimworld folder there is a file called Player.log

I figured out what causes the pawns to "freeze". It's the dual wield mod, when they finish an encounter on their own, like when there's no more targets or enemies on the map at all, a weird transparent white circle starts expanding from where they are if I have them selected. Never happens when they have only one weapon. I'll send this over there too if it's still active.

And about the crash, I'm pretty sure it's one of the sequences that plays it's own music along with it, I disabled the ones that pair sequences with music and it's never happened again, even after spamming the skip sequence/music button.

Regrettably I am running on a Macbookpro, so it could be an issue with something related to mac, like for ex there's a mod that uncaps the fps but causes it to crash on Mac, I used to run it just fine on a windows pc I had. I could still send over the save and the modlist if you want to dig into the logs and or investigate.

Ok thanks. Some of the sequences load video files in a rather hacky way, so that may be causing issues on Mac.

I don't have a Mac to test on so I'm not sure if I can help fix that issue. If other Mac users report crashes I may disable the video loader on Mac.

Thanks for your help.

No problem! :lilimok: I'm still intensively gonna enjoy this mod and making pawns dance to Killer Bean :lilimjoy:

The cooldown state of the DJ stand doesn't seem to be saved.

Meaning, I can negate the 10 day cooldown by saving and loading after each disco event.

Fixed, thanks.

a slight incompatible with better loading: the pop up will re-enable itself every time when using with better loading
Epicguru  [developer] Apr 15, 2021 @ 2:16am
Better loading tends to break these kind of things. I will see if I can fix on my end or I will contact the better loading author (I did the better loading UI so hopefully he will do me the favor of fixing)

I just pushed an update that I hope fixed this, let me know.
