Witch Hunter retinue (maybe 12 elite hybrid units ?) for Empire
just Generaly more Engineer related stuff for the Dawi.
Undead Dark Elf Medusae for VCoast/Counts
I second this:)
maybe:
Ungor - Bow
Gor - Javelins (more oompf, less range)
Bestigor - Throwing Axes (even more Oomph, but even less range)
would kinda fit thematically still and add some Juicy options tot he Roaster.
For the Depthguard Ranged stuff:
Found a Mod that Adds Shielded Depthgaurd and PistolDepthgard (free company stile 1 pistol 1 Axe) but only with vanilla stats.
might still be worth looking into, since it feels kinda odd to send in the Vampires to fight, whiel the Undead Thralls stay back in safety.
a Sniper-Weaponsteam like Jezails would be neat too. i mean, if they embrace gunpowder, i'd expect some of the Vampiretroops to use them too.
Hochland Longrifles should fit for that nicely.
Vampire Coast: Harpoonlauncher.
kinda like the Dwarf Anti-large Trolltorpedos.
kinda odd, how the Vampire coast goes hunting for Merewyrms with Knifes and Pistols.
Zombies for Vampire Coast.
whiel they have the Deckhandmobs, they kinda lack the "undead Horde" vibe a little. Some Blue-ish Zombies, too daft to becoem deckhand Mobs, woudl fit well there. just some meat-shield with higher Unitcount for the Horde feeling. (recently played the Liber Bubonicus Story mission as clan epstilence, i loved it)
Empire Mortars with different Ammotypes.
You know how the Averlange Poison Wing Mortar has projectiles that cluster before impact? how about a Mortar doing that? Flechette Projectiles, exploding above the enemy and raining Metal Shrapnell down on them!
Norsca.
same problem as Beastmen, they just generaly Lack varaity and options imo. they have all those big beasts, but so does Malus Darkblade.. and he has the entire Hoard of Dark Elve units ontop of that.
the Forsaken Archers are a good step in the right direction. But im missing the Seafarer vibe you'd expect from a Viking-inspired faction.
maybe some Chaos-influenced variations?
4 Units:
the Murder - Nurgle influenced Juggernauts. (regen? resistence? weak to fire)
The Pack - Khorne influenced Berserkers (just "better" Berserker?
The Pit - Slaanesh influenced extra agile spear infantry or Cav. Light but some Damaging poison (havign a spear to keep the enemy on range and poisoning them is the propper coverdly way to serve slaanesh
The Aerie - Something Mutated magical. i think the "change" part of tzeentch fits most with Norsca. so, maybe a small Herd of Mutated Mammoths? smaller unitmodel because of their short life expectancy, multiple tusks and Trunks, eyes and whatnot. maybe two Heads like fallout cows. i dont know.
and at last (for now)
Slaveunits for Darkelves, Chaos, Norsca, Vampire counts and Coast, maybe even some for the Beastmen would do well too.
some Human-slaves with he flagellant model or such send in by the Beastmen to soak up some damage before the Herd comes in. (while they do have the Ungor for that technicly, the savagery of the act itself suits all those factions listed), seen it witht he Chaos Dwarfs Faction, who have Greenskin Slaves as fodder, VERY enjoyable to send your enemys troops against them as cannonfodder.
just spitballing ideas here. its the factions i noticed lack the most variety, even with SFO.
SFO covers the most holes regarding MEchanics (Beastmen getting a Anti-large unit and such) but while Dark Elves for example have ~15 diffrent melee anti-infantry units, Norsca has 4-5.
and i feel that everytime i start a beastmen, or Norsca campaign.
Chaos is well covered by other SFO friendly Mods, so much so i would have to field 10+ armies witht heir own theme to cover all units.
though VC while having some variety, hasnt seen any love in... a while.
which is probabyl fine for a C-List faction (tabletop wise) BUT there has to be more in the Piratetheme than pistolwielding zombies.
the Seaserpents are a GREAT addition for example!
maybe some Serpent-riding Depthguard Cav? the fittign animations are int he Tomb Kings faction.
I get the idea of keeping the Factions "in their territory" so they cont have an answer to everything. BUT
half the factions already have.
and you must admit: Seaserpent riding slithery Depth Guard Vampires charging the Beaches at midnight from the water is feckin cool.
aight imma go to sleep now, sorry for the bad grammar :D
Either way, great job, appreciate all the effort.
Thank you so much for reviving and adding a ton of new content to this mod so frequently. There is a little bit of a discussion on battle altars, as in addition to the luminark and hurricanum, you can theoretically have a battle altar for each of the winds of magic. There possibly could be one for fire (In the Tamurkhan article of the wiki, search for trinity of fire) and a concept art for death (can't tell the original source for this) https://imgur.com/Kb9hKJ5
Again, thank you a lot for this mod, and if they are too difficult to make, that is fine, and if you can make it, please take your time. I don't expect six new units over the weekend (Also, it would be good to have others' and your personal unit suggestions in as well).
Also Snotlings for the greenskins would be cool.
