This discussion was made to report any possible active bugs, extra information, and possible suggestions. Any issue posted here is only to help improve or fix anything within this mod.

Fenrir (new):
- Thank you for the fog fix, now that I have fully tested his kit, it seems like the wolf pack he summons has a hit box issue.
When there are only a handful of small wolves, they are perfect, but when the entire pack is attacking one creature from the same side (very common for the first 5 or so minutes of summoning) cannot actually hit what they are targeting. I am not sure if it is them being too fast, or if toning the number of them that get summoned on a howl down will fix this or not. Not the biggest issue in the mod, but they can often get stuck in a loop not being able to hit the creature bigger than them. A stego was a perfect test for this, he just sat there hitting them for 5-10 minutes while the baby wolves could only get a hit or two in every minute or so. As well as corpses, they will stay eating a big body for an insane amount of time.

Exo-Jaeger:
- ability to switch from double arm slam to his charge attack displays a notification as if the ability has changed, but right click is always doing the double arm slam attack, charge attack cannot be used.

Exo-Jaeger:
- X: Swoop - Swings both arms by its side, harvesting berries and fiber, damages wood, deals 40 base damage, low stamina cost, has a small 5 second cooldown.
An herbivores best friend.
- RightCtrl: Recharge - Dismounts the rider and enters itself into its low power state ability. (Fast health regeneration)

Horus:
- Starting off by saying he is by far one of the most enjoyable, and useful creatures in the mod.
- His fire trail can make it quite difficult to see at times when flying, becomes more annoying when using him to travel long distances.

Suggestions

Horus & Owl Beast:
- When first loading this mod, these two spawned relatively close to one another, and my first impression of both of them was amazing. Horus was of course incredibly appealing to the eye, but Owl Beast spawned in the snow biome, and it was also giving me more elemental vibes when first meeting him. Horus with his fire AOE attack and passive burn whatever attacks it makes it feel so much stronger than the Owl Beast.

While this seems intended, I have a few ideas that seem similar to the abilities you put in with a lot of your creatures possibly making it easier to implement if you like any of the brainstormed ideas below.

Owl Beast Possibilities:
C: Hurricane Winds - remove the rooted down effect.
- replace with wind pressure effect.
Situationally, the rooting down effect proves useful, but the combination of the knockback and rooting down effect often has this kaiju having to constantly chase its enemy.

They look like mutated brothers, or more like Horus is mutated or has snow owl like ancestors. They give off a fire and ice vibe when standing next to each other.
If Horus has some inspiration for the falcon god himself, we could present a similar name for the Owl Beast or for the creature that is like him that has the abilities below. It could be suitable to name an ice like owl beast “Anubis, King of the Dead” or something like that to mirror a relationship between him and Horus.

Lctrl: Summons two golems - remove this ability altogether (explanation below)
- replace with a similar ability to Horus's Fire AOE, but yes of course, with Ice/Snow. Maybe even a snow owl freeze with a much bigger AOE. This could be in the exact form in terms of the ring and such, or maybe even some sort of less intense looking snow tornado.
Effects: I would think it would be cool for the status effects to be slightly different here, this ability could slowly freeze everything in its ring and freeze most if not all dinos that remained in the ring at the end of the animation. Since dinos would become immobile though, this would be stronger than Horus, so the AOE effect damage could be reduced to half the damage value of Horus's fire AOE effect tick dmg or not dmg at all, although it would be cool to kill weak vanilla dinos by jusy freezing them.

It is not that this ability is bad, golems are just slow, and combined with constantly pushing enemies away, they don't end up doing much. For raiding a base, I am sure this is a great ability, but I feel as if the Owl Beast being more of an opposite of Horus would be very interesting.

Note: I may have gotten ahead of myself with these suggestions, they really are just brainstormed ideas. I do not want to make this sound like I am critiquing any of the current creatures or anything like that. I just cannot help but get excited about the ideas an ice owl beast like creature would be like.

If these ideas are appreciated though, here is another few sets of ideas for Horus & Owl Beast

MISC.

Wild dinos slowly freeze but can never be fully frozen as they pass by the Owl Beast.

- RightCtrl: Magma Charge - Horus focuses all of his external heat into his beak, causing the flames on his body to dim and only remain on his beak. A 15 second buff that enables his bite attack to now inflict a burning effect on the target, the bite now almost feeling sharper dealing 1.5x than normal base damage. This ability has either a 10% chance or when creature is below 50% health to instead activate a 30 second buff causing the normal flame on his body to gain a red tint, going into his 'enflamed' mode. Essentially gains a constant AOE fire effect like the dracon for this time period, and enabling all attacks to deal 1.5x dmg.
Long cooldown, stamina drain is doubled while active.

- RightCtrl: Dry Ice - Similar to Horus, the Owl Beast centers his frost on his beak, enabling its next attack to freeze any possible victim. Damage dealt to frozen creature is doubled, enabling whatever is frozen by the attack to take a lot of damage. 10% chance to just doing a snow owl like animation and freezing everything in a bigger radius than it should be, or possibly making it so that every dino in its ring vicinity takes on a frostbite status effect that allows them to move incredibly slow for a small time period while taking tick damage.
Long cooldown, stamina drain is doubled while active.

These abilities would be a nice addition since most of the current abilities are tailored to hitting multiple targets, while this ability would focus to just hitting one entity.

Horus, born in the Great Magma Falls, somehow has the ability to be fully submerged under water. Liquids seemingly do not bother him, but water does dampen his flame, or at least a little. Fire AOE cannot be done underwater, as well as any other attack that deals fire damage. His body temperature remains unchanged, and still burns any animal that touches him.

Owl Beast, born by being cracked out of ice that cannot melt (brr). The Owl Beast is fully resistant to any flame, making it the perfect counterpart to its phoenix ancestor bloodline. It cannot be burned. This creature does not prefer to swim, and therefore, will not let you underwater, but they do float, more like walking at the top of the water since their bodies are so buoyant, extremely slow movement but won’t kick you off when touching water.

Oh, i deleted the info from exojaeger about the harvesting ability cuz i thought i didnt end up implementing it XD. Will add that back after i go and check what exactly i made it actually harvest.

Charging thing is weird... Will probs need to check my spino in unnatural evolved since both of them use the same code for changing between charge and arm smash.

Gonna go through the update soon to test Fenrir and anything else. One thing on the top of my head I wanted to add to this was that Fenrir’s “shift + x” isn’t notated in the Creature Information thread. I can take a lot of time and go through every creature like this. I’ve tested a lot of things, for example, I was so shocked at how well gojiran performed as only like 2-3 of his moves dropped fps noticeably, and have ideas (not demands) on how to improve the fps drops on 1-2 of them but still keeping the visual integrity of his power. I really do enjoy these mods, and truly would find it fun to go through all the creatures to find bugs, missing info, or any visual/performance improvements, kinda like an info gatherer or validator. I wouldn’t do it though if you would rather information like this be gathered in like evolved or scp or not at all. I just also see how many questions you get in all 3 comment sections and would love to help in any way.

Owl beast is moreso based on her lore as a more magic based horus, not ice.

Understood, sorry about that then, was just ideas for new or existing stuff. Got really into it one night, but I can remove this discussion then since there’s already other ones for bugs and stuff

Hey! Did not notice you came back and responded, thank you for that! I came on strong af with this anyways so I apologize for throwing all of that on you back then. I truly just fell in love with all the mods you made and had like a server with only your mods and essential ones like dino storage. I did spend a ♥♥♥♥ ton of time like just studying the creatures you made and tested every bit of them in a healthy way. Honestly, that would be so sick though! I'm not sure of any changes in this mod (it has been a while since I have looked), but I came up with all of those ideas back then mainly because I think the Owl Beast is easily one of the coolest/prettiest looking animals you have made, and reminds me of a old boss from an old sly cooper game called 'Clockwork". The moveset on her isn't really bland either, I just wanted to use the Owl beast all the time, but if you tamed Horus, there was really no point to bring her out :(. Knowing that Horus is canon and she isn't though, if this is still a thought for you, maybe if it is too much to add to her arsenal the Owl Beast could serve as like a guardian of Horus, and if you have them both tamed, the Owl Beast just always follows Horus or something. I am not expecting you to like work on that though, I just wanted to reply to let you know I appreciate that you put some thought into it regardless of whether it actually happened or not. You have created so much content and that in itself deserves an award!
