Actually, this should be a secondary... considering that its able to be thrown, having it being melee would make sniper severly OP with this. Now, with that being said, I LOVE (And I mean, LOOOOOOOVE) the idea of having a boomerang secondary.

So here it goes!

PROS:
+25% damage
+returns to user! You'll never have to worry about ammo again!
+Damage does not drop off
+Pierces enemies
CONS:
-45% firerate (considering that you can't throw it until it gets back)
-90% ammo (you'll only have one)
-Random crits turn to mini-crits (That way there's no crazy team wipes with a single OP throw)
-Can be reflected! (Just because it's a projectile and that pyro needs more skill-based things... considering that valve nerfed all of them)

Whats its base damage? Like 25% dmg bonus to what?

I was actually thinking of something very close to what you said, although I would like to suggest some stuff; I would LOVE to see is to have it pick up health packs and ammo packs if encountered on the way (maybe limited by 1 per trip). I think it would be better to calculate the crit probability every time it goes though an enemy to avoid OP throws, and to have the firerate depend on how hard you though it, which can be controlled by holding the mouse 1 button longer/shorter. It would also be nice to have a meter (like the sandman) in case you lose your boomerang because of an airblast.

PS. Considering the Sandman is a thing, and there aren't really any great sniper melees, I don't think it would be out of place. I like the idea of having a slingshot for a sniper secondary better anyways.
