How to get turrets?
ive been researching a lot of things but crossbow turrets never showed up. is it a blueprint i have to buy or do i need to research specific things for it to appear?

Research specific things and you'll get it. Took me some trial and error to find some research topics i wanted. So be ready with the stash of research resources to burn through.

ok but what are those specific things? I'm probably 100 books into randomly researching things. currently at level 5 research.

I started a new game then performed the below research before Mounted Crossbows showed up in Defence category.

makeshift walls - defence
iron plates - industry
small house - core
cooking - process-food
tech level 2 - core
basic weapon smithing - smith-weapons

Not sure if this is the most efficient route to it. Anyway good luck!

It is hidden for some reason.
