The Mechanics of the Earth Kingdom of Ba Sing Se
I decided to come back to this mod after a hiatus, and one of the first playthroughs I gave was the newly updated version of the Earth Kingdom.

I have to say that I really do like this reworked version for a lot of reasons. For starters, the lack of an empire tier title kinda fits considering that the Earth King hasn't really had control of anything beyond Ba Sing Se in centuries. The lack of an Earth Kingdom Empire Tier title even existing also makes a lot of sense to me, but that's not the most important thing I've noticed.

So, where to begin? There's a lot of the more of the same for starters-- the event chain where you have to subvert the power of the Dai Li is still long and precarious.

Starting off in the Hundred years war start date means that you're basically on a ticking timer to restore your power so you can centralize the earth kingdom quick enough before the fire nation have so much of the continent that you'll never be able to beat them.

What I find the most interesting is that now, as a kingdom tier title, you can't just go around vassalizing all your big lords once you reach the state reform. You have to complete all the reforms and totally centralize your power before that can even happen! Makes it much more difficult, as you'll have to continue to fight the fire nation as they try to chip away at all your tributaries.
