Since it was a German/Nazi weapon, I would make it a medic weapon, since he is german.Also a name like the Trench Clearer would be cool since it was heavily used in WWI.
Anyways, stats are as follows:
-20%Damage
Fully Automatic
-10% Ammo Capacity

It would be fun for medic but the problem is that this is TF2. Many weapons try to stay away from real weapons.

How about 20% magazine Fully automatic -10 damgage

Luger is already in game as a scout/engie weapon eh?
And this gun is not fully automatic m8s

~additional 100% damage to spies, and heavies
~-20% damadge
~50% extra damage when your building is damadged (for each damadged building it stacks)
~+50% reload time
~ +50% damage from sniper primary and melee weapons
~ +100% overheal
~ when uber buildings cannot be sapped and take 40% less damage
~ -15% movement speed
~ Alerted of spies near buildings
~ buildings take 20% more damage

In reality later models of the Mauser C96 (which this gun is obviously based on) actually have the option for sustained fully automatic fire. However due to the internal modifications they had to do this for Red-9 (M712) versions of the C96, which changed its caliber to 9mm from the 7.62 Mauser cartridge, and featured a magazine instead of the standard stripper clips originally used by the pistol. I am sure though that there may have been experimental machine pistol varients of the C96 without the Red-9 modification, but most designs have been of course scrapped or destroyed in both WWI and WWII.

So fully auto? Could be pretty unique, the weapon could be used as a 'panic weapon' for the Scout/Engie(/Medic?) like the Sniper's SMG: Low damage however with a moderate firing speed and semi-large clip size.

With the name "defender" I can't help but to suggest defensive stats...

Pros:
+10% Bullet, Blast, and Fire Damage resistance
+10% More health recieved from Healers (Tooh musch mauthss!, AKA self explanitory)
+Mini Crits enemies at close range from the front

Cons:
-55% Max secondary ammo on wearer (90 rounds instead of 200)
-40% Smaller clip size (7 rounds instead of 12)
-15% Less Metal recieved from ammo boxes (Small = 34 instead of 40-41, Medium = 85 instead of 100, and Large = 170 instead of 200)

Please stop posting in these discussions. If Valve ever adds this to tf2, they will decide if there will be stats. The creator does not decide such things.

(+) For every Building built, +10% Damage Bonus and Damage Resistance
(+) +10% Accuracy
(-) -15% Firing Speed
(-) Firing Speed lowers by -1% per second when being fired for long periods of time

This is what it should be
Class.Medic

Pros.
.100% more damage
.80%more accuarte
.20% higher resistance

Cons.
.50% slower firing seed
.50% less ammo
.Loud
.30%slower weopon switch
.No random critical hits
.Health kits give 20% less health
.Ammo crates give 20% less ammo

And thats it for me.
