Ok so i removed the old ideas and im making a new ideas list :D
So here ya go:

- Cold-Resistant Cotton

Small and Large patches of Cotton would grow around in the map, spreading out every time the old plants die, and it would be harvestable to give normal cotton.
Of course by its name, it would be much more Cold-Resistant and its cloth/cotton would give more insulation.

- Glowshroom

This mushroom will appear around the map/colony, and will appear over time just like trees. These shrooms light up the area they're in to 50% and have a decent radius, they're usually found in mountainous area and caves but can be found in mountain-less boreal forests. This plant can also be planted into pots and hydroponics and grow zones, and they'll look really nice, slightly nicer than dandelions. Can be harvested for a raw glowshroom, which can be turned into a meal and is delicious, although its fairly bad eaten raw.

- Tall Grass

A new type of grass that slows down any colonists that enter them slightly-ish, usually grows in large patches in mud, with smaller patches anywhere in boreal forests.

Maybe not knocking people out but slowing them or something like that, only for a little bit though

While I like the idea, I don't wanna add custom code to the mod. The goal isn't to add gameplay elements, but rather small, mostly visual, additions to biomes :)

Yeah I guess that would be more fair.

Really happy too see plants getting some love, the biomes have always felt a little simple, especially when playing with all those modded animals.
For the rainforest it'd be cool to see bamboo updated. Changing the wildclusterRadius and wildclusterWeight so the map spawns with a few bamboo "groves" rather than it being scattered.

I request this be changed to plant your plant ideas here

I would like a venus fly trap that acts as a trap and some sort of jungle medicine that helps recover from the diseases that are so frequent there. The marsh biome could use some trees in the water and maybe some lilly pads.

silver birch........bright colours autumn

Maybe instead of just grass for animals to eat, add Lichens, moss and algae (the algae possibly loosely oriented around wetter ground). retextured grass perhaps. setting the retextures as true only in the desired biomes. Or have them as different entities entirely.

My suggestion is similar to @Stevehknight's suggestion, maybe in addition to the pine tree variations, maybe different kinds of Birch trees or some Aspen trees. Both types of trees would have bright yellow and orange leaves in the fall.
Mushrooms that play a part in psychic mediation
Fiddlehead ferns as a wild forageable crop. Steam them up, little salt and butter. A boreal must have!

Ooops I didn't see you'd already said that! As a child of the boreal forest, those and leeks were sure sign of spring...and crab apples in the fall for apple butter :P
