So if you're aiming for the fastest time for challenge 1, I think the best route involves smashing the glass at the middle of the maze and running through -- but that leaves you vulnerable, injured and exhausted.

I also think for challenge 2, you have 7 days to get to the top, so after I'd spend some time looting around the map -- particularly the warehouse for weapons/flashlights and other survival goodies.
