Stumped? (THE [POTENTIAL] SPOILA' ZONE)
Are you stuck but pretty sure you aren't bugged? Ask here and I'll do my best to provide a cryptic clue.

GENERAL TIPS

- Check your mission items. Most will provide some hint as to what to do next.

- Pay attention to inspection text. Some of it's there for flavour, some of it isn't.

- Do the legwork. Return to old locations. Talk to different people. Some of them will provide valuable clues. There are a few different ways to overcome most of the big story obstacles, and often the best (and cheapest!) way isn't the most obvious one.

- Read this thread! If you're stuck, chances are, someone else was too. Give this page a skim and see if I've already answered your question.

- Stuck in combat? Do some exploration. You might find some new gear and extra karma to help you out. Make sure you spend that starting cash on a new weapon, some better armour, and at least one medkit before tackling the first major dungeon area.

- Total noob? Here's my suggested character build for players new to SRR who want to roll new characters. Dump most of your starting Karma into SMG, dodge and body. Throw a couple points at a support area like Decking or Spirit Summoning, but wait to emphasize those. The Shambles is a dangerous place, and the first few hours there will be a lot kinder if you know how to handle yourself in a fight.

Is there no way to complete Gunther's Candy Shoppe mission without starting a bar fight? My character is a Decker, so it doesn't seem..right to do it that way. Nice mod so far though..
I've managed to get under the shambles, but in the lab fight with the yakus I'm getting totally ripped apart in 2 turns, worst case scenario 1 turn. The only way I managed to snail my way through the yaku horde was to run around the lab, keeping the enemy AP minimized, and let gardner take care of them. Like watching grass grow. I waited till I had one enemy wielding an axe and tried to take him head on, but that bastard critted me with a whopping 40-50dmg. And the yakety sax run is starting again.

Gotta love the story, but I've got totally stuck in the lab. Things were pretty smooth sailing until then. Playing on normal.

Save file says 205 karma spent, equipment is pretty shoddy though since I had to pour mony to DD's pockets. Bad build and/or bad run?

Edit: started a new attempt in the lab and on round 3 all buddies are dead, and I'm left with 25/80hp.

Hey, so I have stolen the simdata for the comanches and talked to Tanaka. When Tanaka asked to set up a neutral meeting point, he ended up telling me to go back to the comanches and find out where they want to meet. When I go back to their leader, though, he just asks me if I've set up a meeting place and not to come back until I do. When I go back to the tower, though, the option to get the receptionist to let me in to see Tanaka isn't there any more. I also don't have an option to e-mail him anymore. How do I talk to Tanaka again to set up the meeting place?

Nevermind. Figured it out. Great mod btw. Just finished the first playthrough. I'm about to go through again and see what happens if I side with the Dragon. :)

After the meeting in dobledog shop, game breaks. I cant move or anything. I tried letting them kill jim and the other guy, but it is the same. No matter who dies, game breaks.

Is the 628 a reference to the movie "The Raid"?

So I really like this UGC so far, I'm really glad SRR allows for UGC because you can get awesome stories and new takes on things, so even if you're not happy with the 'core' campaigns you have stuff to enjoy.

That being said, I'm a bit stuck. First, like others have said, I got an email from Doubledog saying he has info to sell me on the Comanches. I go to him, he tells me if he knew anything he'd be selling it to the Yakuza or Lone Star anyway. So... if you don't have info for me, why did you email me saying you did? Step it up, Doubledog! I would like to know, is there any way to actually respond to his and Ken's email? Because they have a reply option with a text input thing but no matter what I try it doesn't work. If that's just a bug, I'd like to know so it'll stop gnawing at me.

The second thing which is a bit more troublesome, is that I saved Marvelous' ex, went back to him, and he mentioned getting me a key to the Comanches. Great! I mis-clicked though and instead of getting the list of what's needed to make the key, apparently I said I already knew. I can't redo that conversation and find out, and my mission items log has nothing in it about this. I figure I can still follow up with Lone Star at the shipping place, though since I'm not a Decker I guess I'll have to duke it out. Trying to re-do the candy shop like Tama's place has the security and strippers still there... but also 3 Hellhounds for some reason which are the only things I can interact with, in addition to the $100 and free drugs in the kitchen. All the NPCs don't appear to be interactable with.

Finally, a bit of a suggestion/request- Can you put in that bit that the core campaigns have where if you don't meet the requirements for something, it shows up but faded out? I say this because, as I'm not a decker, I can't as far as I know do anything with the ISP for the shipping place. However, until I checked here in the forum, I didn't know if I was just missing something or if I just wasn't able to do it. I'm now fairly sure I just can't do it, but if the option to do so was present but greyed out I'd at least know "Okay, I'm not missing anything, it's just that I'm not able to do it." Would be nice if you could hire a decker for this sort of thing, but I can understand that might be hard to put in so fair enough.

did you ever figure out what to type to ken thats acceptable and what the hell the utilities screen does

Hi ! Once again, great mod !
I've just finished it and I still have some questions bothering my mind, but I'm too lazy to play a second whole time just to try and find the answers, so if you or someone else is kind enough to answer me, that will be greatly appreciated. :-)
  1. How do the gossips work ? Do you have any example of valid entry please ? I tried a lot of things here.
  2. I've read above the receptionist could be seduced. I tried all dialogue options with her and didn't find it. Was I lacking some charisma ? Finally, I re-runed 628 to farm karma and buy Corpo etiquette, hoping it would work, and it did.
  3. What is Tama security password and how can we find it ?
  4. Is there a plot about women murdered by eye-stealing ? A lot of corpses look like it, including the one in the back of the strip-club with the guy called... "Mecanics" I think. Or are they just "decoration" ?
Thank's by advance for your answers, omae.

In case if anybody (probably future me) will need an answer to that: go to the market and talk to random people. One of them will give you a clue (mission item) with an address of that club. Type it (without typos!) into "utilities" on your noodle computer, and you will get an option to hire a decker to do something. Presumably, if you play ad a decker, than you won't need to hire and will do it yourself.
