I guess I'll be the first one to post.
Title: World Conquest
Prerequisites: Must be at least some level of authoritarian and/or militarist.
Synopsis: Decades ago, your home planet was united under the rule of its most powerful nation after a series of bloody wars. Your now unified species now looks toward the stars, now seeking to claim them as their own.
Gameplay Mechanics Involved: You start with few extra corvettes at game start and the ability to construct a monument to your nations violent founding, which would increase the experience levels and gain of your military leaders, ships, and armies. It would also grant additional unity, happiness, and governing ethics attraction on the planet it was constructed on. You would also start with a modifier that would grant a small boost to army damage and ship fire rate.
Notes: This was actually not my idea. This is actually coming from a part of a post on the "Your Ideas For Origins" thread on the paradox forums by a forum user whose username was Ikael. I'm just essentially forwarding the idea while also making a few edits and additions to the backstory and effects. The reason I'm forwarding it is mainly due to the default origin, Prosperous Unification, not necessarily fitting the context for a scenario like this in my opinion. I also liked the idea.
Further Notes: This is actually just copied and pasted from my post on the "Origin Ideas" discussion for the More Origins Mod. I'm reposting this because I believe this may have a higher chance of being turned into something. At least I hope.

I would second Packers' post. I was just coming here to post something very similar.

My idea would be a bit more basic, though. Just something like the vanilla Prosperous Unification, except flavoured to make more sense for Authoritarian, Xenophobe and/or Militarist empires. Maybe it could have you start a couple of pops down but with some military tech researched.

I mean to be honest, it wasn't my idea. It was actually from a poster on the Paradox Forums. I just edited and made additions to the suggestion.

title : galactic protectors

government type : gestalt - machine or hive

lore : a gestalt encountered other life, liked them, decided it wanted to protect them

effect : something lime defenders of the galaxy (might be guardians) ascension perk, but also to genocidal empires, starts with contact with another empire - probably xenophile, maybe pacifist - and has something like a +50 mood buff to other empires that aren't gestalt, can't do offensive wars but can do liberation wars - by which i mean if the empire has slaves you can wage war to liberate them forcing that empire to ban slavery and become egalitarian

reason why i think it could be worthwhile : no easy way to become space police essentially, haven't seen much in the way to be a political gestalt so far

Title: Secluded Paradise

Prerequisites: One of the Following Ethics: Normal/Fanatic Pacifist or Normal/Fanatic Xenophobe or Normal/Fanatic Spiritualist.

Background: This species has evolved on a Paradise, with their home system secluded from the rest of the Galaxy. Now however, FTL Travel has been discovered, and it is time for them to reach out and see what lies beyond the void...

Effects:
Starting Planet is a size 20 Gaia World. - Possibly a small modifier on it that gives a pop growth / unity boost.
1 smaller, uncolonized Gaia Moon exists in the home system of this species, no guarenteed planets spawn outside.
Starts with the 'Wormhole Travel' Technology unlocked.

Title Guardian.

Prerequest Not Gestalt and Machine inteligence

Background. From millenia that empire has gaurded mysterious gate that's placed in their home system. Records about gate were lost during "Dark times" We only know that gate must be sealed. We can't allow anyone to open that.


Effects. Start with additional 20 techs and developed homeworld. There is gate in your home system that must be protected at all cost. Something very bad will happen 100 years after mid game Starts


Mid game effect. Seal has been broken and banished empire version of your spiecies is released from cluster. They remember everything and once you meet them you will know that once you were dominating the galaxy, but eventually civil war broke out and part of your empire was sealed while rest collapsed and retreat to one system with gate. These empire possess massive fleets and they developed dark matter reactor, yet they are not FE. After defeating Banished you would get special bonus( Reunification) to your empire and artifact called " Forge of Light" effects well i dont know

Requires being either fanatic spiritualist, fanatic materialist, fanatic xenophobe, or fanatic xenophile.

Spiritualist gets the worm. Materialist gets the dreadnought, Xenophile gets the drakes, Xenophobe gets the enigmatic fortress?

Each different ethic gives different events?

This isn't *super* thought out, but I'd love an origin like that of the Xindi from Star Trek where six distinct dominant species co-evolved on the same planet.
If you wanted it more complex each one could have a different planetary preference to reflect the different biomes they evolved in, but personally I'd be content even if they all had the same preference.
Its similar to the co-dominant one you already have but with more species. If this is too difficult to code or whatever, I'd understand but I would love to see it happen.

Title: A New Beginning

Government Type: Not Gestalt Consciousness.



Background. Millions of years ago our empire used to be far spread and extremely powerful. We mastered life itself and became immortal machines, however as time passed we fell. During our final moments we hid ourselves from the galaxy and went into a deep deactivated state. Recently we have awoken from our sleep to find that everything we used to know about the galaxy has been lost as well as most of our technology.


Effects. Start the game as Synthetic Machines, With access to a recently activated Encumopolis or Machine World. as their homeworld which has several planetary tiles blocked and debuffs to both synthetic and pop output and pop growth on the planet which can be removed eventually.

They also have a -%130 to habitability until they obtain the technology to modify themselves again.


Optional Effect: Able to build more Encumopolises or Machine Worlds. At the mid game game.

Title: Revolving Lights

Prerequisites: None

Background: When we started scanning and exploring the skies, we affirmed what we already knew from ancient times. Our Suns DO in fact revolve around the planet, despite what the conspiracy theorists believe.

However, as we looked beyond our own solar system and started to see other stars and other worlds, we came to realize that while we were correct, it's certainly not how things normally go.


Effects:
Starting planet is a Giant planet in the middle of the solar system, with several smaller stars orbiting around it.

Notes:
Perhaps an Archaeological Digsite to discover the source of this strange phenomenon, as well as an answer as to how the solar system stays intact like this?

Title: The Evil Overlord (Or "The Future That Is Aku")
(This is basically Aku's Empire from Samurai Jack)

Prerequisites: Fanatic Authoritarian and Militarist, Dictatorial

Background: This unfortunate civilization fell victim to an incarnation of evil that is born from shroud in ancient times. It has been ruling the planet with iron fist for millenia, and now with the invention of FTL technology by its slaves, it seeks to extend its wicked influence to galaxy.

Effects:
-Ruler is an ancient immortal entity with powerful modifiers, but also gives large unhappiness (preferably with a custom portrait for it)
- Unique very powerful army unit that represents entity, is created with influence and can only have 1 of it, can be recreated when killed
- Unique locked civic that combines effects of "Imperial Cult" with "Slaver Guilds" while boosting both, but also gives massive crime
- Basically everyone hates this empire except criminal empires
