Crisis Manager install on GOG Stellaris?
Hiya! Sorry for posting this as a discussion - will delete if necessary, can't post comments - but I wondered if you could help, TehFishey ...

I was absolutely delighted to see that this mod exists in a maintained state, and am trying to set it up on my Stellaris install. Unfortunately, I've got it on GOG not Steam, and so have had to install it manually, as described on the Stellaris wiki. I've got all my other mods working, but haven't been able to get this set up - Dynamic Mod Menu isn't wanting to install, and while Mod Menu /is/ working, it doesn't recognise any mods on there (the only button on the Mod Menu is 'exit'). Do you - or anyone else - have any insight into what's gone wrong, or how to manually install Crisis Manager in such a way that it the Mod Menu picks it up.

Apologies for asking for help in this way - I'm new to Stellaris modding and may be missing an obvious issue, but all my other mods are working - it's just this one, and any guidance on manual installs would be fantastic. I have a /deep/ desire to initiate that delicious triple crisis - thanks in advance!

Hello!

I'd be happy to help if I can; unfortunately, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I don't have the GOG version of Stellaris (yet!), so I'm not able to 100% recreate your play environment. That said, I know that all three of these mods can work together from a local/manual installation, as that's how I usually test them.

Some random thoughts/shots in the dark:
- For diagnostic purposes: does Crisis Manager serve you its popup menu on game start? If not, then the issue is probably with CM's install specifically, rather than the menu mods.
- Can you go into more detail on the exact process you're using to install the mods? It's possible that the .mod files or descriptors are messed up somehow. Does the mod appear in the launcher without warnings?
- If getting the mod(s) from steam is an issue, I can upload the Crisis Managers to Paradox if that might help (I've been meaning to do that anyway.)

If you'd like to hit me up through PM's or steam chat once you're on, I might be able to help you troubleshoot it.

Aaaah, thank you so much for the quick response - and my delay in getting back to you.

So I've had a look at things, and, aaah, I'm deeply embarrassed to reveal that the error was 100% on my end! When I downloaded the mod it didn't come with a .mod file - made one myself, and that seemed to work ... but I didn't take into account that it would be completely missing everything /else/ (i.e. lots of correct file directories, nothing in them).

So yes, it looks like getting the mod from steam was indeed the issue! If you'd be OK uploading them to the paradox site, or just .zip-ing a folder, I would be eternally grateful - thanks! :steamhappy:

Ah, that makes sense.

I've uploaded this mod and the other two that I've updated to the Paradox Mods site. I admit that I'm not very familiar with using Paradox for this, but at least you should have easier access to the mod files now.
