How do i steal the shine?

i cant seem to steal the shine from non tamable animal. I made the prod used it the killed the dino but received nothing to feed to a non shiny version. Any help is appreciated!

it only works on those that have a special effect on their shinyness so only on tardis and ♥♥♥♥ like that, you have to prod it and than kill it after that you get the shiny essence with the effect, but i am not sure yet wich dinos can eat the gained shiny essence, because the item says only the right type of dino eats it
