2) We had wormhole tech required at one point, but like with 1, it means you're not going to get anything before the crisis arrives
3) This is already required for p3....
The problem is scaling. At some point i'm going to expand on the heiroglyphics digsite and explain with space magic how you get the ability to build this so early on.. I already started to do that, I believe.
I understand the immersion issues, but by making it late game, it means only people who play after the crisis is done and dusted would ever see anything from the mod. My best hope is to try and make it more immersive regardless.
A real black hole is tiny. Like, really tiny. A black hole of one solar mass has a Schwarzschild radius of about 2954 metres. Since the Schwarzschild radius is directly proportionate to the mass, you can quite easily calculate the radius at a given mass, but I'll save you the trouble for now.
In our own galaxy, a typical black hole will have a mass of five to about thirty solar masses. This means that a normal black hole has a radius of under a hundred kilometres. Even extremely large stellar black holes will usually have a radius of under two hundred kilometres.
Assuming the EHOF is hugging the event horizon of a particularly large black hole, we can estimate that an Omega is about eight hundred kilometres across. Or, to put it another way, about a quarter of the diameter of our Moon. Which is large, certainly, but not unrealistic for a civilisation that can build literal nations in space.
The gravity of a Black Hole increases in a hyperbolic fashion the closer you get, and at the distance you need to be able to to manipulate what I understand you manipulate with this mod you would contend with some extremely tremendous forces. At the Event Horizon, a black hole's escape velocity is light speed.
Additionally, black holes exert warping not only onto space, but also time. So either your facility is extremely fast in how it works, or your facility has some mechanism to nullify time dilation.
This is a sphere constructed around a black hole, almost hugging the horizon and encompassing it in its entirety. It should need mega-engineering.
I never got an answer to my other question of if an event got impossible to complete, so I have no idea why it can't just be gated behind some more advanced tech.
