Bug: Always-cast spell returned when sacrificing wand causes problems.
I've tried this twice in the same world with the new behavior where spells get ejected from a wand being sacrificed rather than being lost. The always-cast spells on two wands got ejectedl, and could be picked up, but vanished as soon as I did so and caused the game to think two of my inventory slots were full. I could manually move spells into the two empty slots, but with them visibly empty I wasn't able to pick up any new spells from the ground. (It wasn't just two specific slots, either, it was any two open slots. I could only pick up spells with three or more slots open.)

What happens if you drag a spell from one of your wands into a blocked empty slot?

It'll go into the slot just fine. It's not exactly blocked, I could drag spells in and fill up my inventory. I think what happened is that the game considered me to have two more spells than I actually did when calculating whether I had free inventory slots available for picking up additional spells, if that makes sense.

I could see about testing it next time I find an always-cast wand, though it kinda screws up the run it happens in.

I ask because there are 2 things that could have happened:
1. the slot is actually taken up by the spell, but because it is an always cast variant it isn't displayed properly. [this means dragging another spell onto the slot would shuffle the always cast variant into the slot previously taken up by the moved spell]
2. the slot has was "eaten" by the always cast spell and is no longer available at all.

I don't think it was #2, since I could move spells into the (seemingly-empty) slots. I guess it's more likely that it was #1, though I didn't pay much attention to where the "empty" slots would've shuffled to when I dragged spells onto. There wasn't anything showing up when I moused over them, at least.

The main distinction is what happens when the empty slot shuffles onto a wand. If the always cast variant is dragged along, the wand will become and always cast wand[maybe open and close inventory to update the UI]. If not, then not.

All right, I've tested it again with another always-cast wand. I sacrificed it, the always-cast spell popped out, and I picked it up, only for it to not show in my inventory as before. I then swapped a spell in a wand onto the inventory space it should have been in if it was actually picked up, but there's been no change to the wand. I even quit and restarted the game to see if it was an interface bug, but as far as I can tell it's the same situation: the game thinks I've picked up a spell which I can't see in my inventory, which doesn't block me manually moving spells into it, but which the game seems to feel should take up one of my inventory slots regardless when trying to pick up spells from the world.

No problem! Hope it helps you figure it out. In the mean time I'll just avoid picking up any always-cast spells which pop out.

This bug should be fixed now. The always cast spell should still be dropped, but converted into a normal spell that doesn't eat an inventory slot when picked up.

complete bug was:
when sacrificed wand had always cast spell, siad spell would be dropped,
picking it up counted against inventory limit, but didnt fill inventory slot(you cannot have always cast spells),
becouse of that you couldnt pick up spells from ground(inventory limit)
but it was still possible to move spells from wands by dragging

if you fixed it to drop regular spells now, it should fix the bug

I was just going to report the same thing. I'll try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod to see if that forces an update in case that was the problem.

On a positive note, I've occasionally gotten notes at the bottom of the screen to the effect of "Blocked held wand" when over by the altars, and haven't had one mistakenly pick up a wand I was carrying, so that bug might be fixed now.

Nice, so that means half of the bugfixes worked...
This is a terrible success rate.
