Mod Compatibility
Interface Mods
We have been careful to preserve compatibility with interface mods, whenever possible.
These mods, and others like them, should be fully compatible:
  • UI Overhaul 1080p
  • Dynamic UI Overhaul
  • Tiny Outliner

Graphical Mods
Mods that only alter or add certain kinds of graphics may be compatible. No guarantees though. If you're feeling brave, test them out and let us know! These kinds of mods include:
  • Portraits
  • Ship Appearances
  • Weapon Effects

Everything Else
Stellaris Immortal is a comprehensive rebuild of most of the game's core systems. As such, it is completely incompatible with most other mods.
Mods that change any of the following are not compatible:
  • AI
  • Galaxy Generation
  • Districts
  • Buildings
  • Jobs
  • Civics
  • Traditions
  • Ascension Perks
  • Technologies
  • Policies
  • Species Traits
  • Amenities
  • Numerous Events
  • Ships
  • Probably more that I forgot...

Compatibility Requests
Stellaris Immortal does not have, and will never have, built-in compatibility for other mods.
If you have a favorite mod you wish you could combine with SI, feel free to mention it in this discussion thread anyway... Maybe you'll get lucky ;-)
However, you'll probably have more luck asking other mod developers to release compatible versions of their mods. If you do so, please be nice to them. Understand that making their mods compatible with SI probably means rebuilding a whole new mod.

We are also overhauling galaxy generation to have fewer stations, so Real Space will make it more costly to develop space. If you want to use them, maybe run RS above Immortal, and see how that works. I'd shy away from PD. I'm pretty sure it'll break something. But i'd love to be proven wrong. Maybe try it out?

Yeah those are definitely too far outside our scope to consider building compatibility for. Maybe eventually their authors or other generous volunteers will take the time to build compatibility patches.

My guess is no because galaxy generation and strategic resources, but my modding skills are mediocre at best.

Gigastructures messes with a lot of things and will be hugely incompatible with Immortal. This is another one where they or another volunteer will probably have to invest in building a compatibility patch.
