Vanilla Expanded .. Drop pods?
Any plans of adding higher tech versions of drop pods with more capacity/range similar in price difference than the expanded power buildings?

agreed... they're too good you end up relying on them too much. same with SoS2 shuttles

How would YOU suggest a VE Drop Pods system then?

I myself would make it so so that you have to do some upkeep with droppods, and there's a slight chance for them to be blown out of the sky with heavy enemy forces, so you have to mount a rescue party and more often than not just withdraw while leaving everything behind.

various sizes (most importantly more space), different fuels, ones specially designed to be allowed to complete trading missions, there are a lot of things you can do... i.e. ones that are longer range but hold less, ones that hold way more and are shorter range...

Let me be the first to tell you that SRTS already does all of that, minus the trading missions one.

SRTS only takes away the need for caravans, if you have the technology for it. And if you do...well...it'd make sense then, right?

also the dude who work with SRTS, works together with oskar so you are pratically asking to the guy to make new droppods

Logically, animal caravans should only be an early game travel method. It's currently pretty ridiculous when your pawns are overflowing with bionics, dressed in power armor, sporting charge weapons, and are still using alpacas to trade. What would make the most sense: early game, animal caravans; mid-game, ground vehicle caravans/single use drop pods; late game, reusable shuttles. If there was going to be a "Vanilla Transport Expanded" that's what I would like to see.

one of the reasons i really like the Android Tier's mechanical beasts of burden, can build a whole army of robo-pack animals to trade with. its not as good as using the shuttles from SOS2 but honestly those are so powerful they trivialize everything else.
