MEIOU and Taxes v2.60.5
Ai doesnt appear to start wars
Im byzantines and I killed the ottos so theyre not expanding

its 1475 and my country is basically the only one to expand, france hasnt even fought 1 single war to take back aquitaine and england has not tried to expand in there either

italy hasnt changed, mamluks havnt done anything, no major persian country, muscovy barely expanded

is this a bug or does the ai just for some reason not want to start a single war?

as well there was a hussite province in bohemia that had been under siege for multiple decades because the bohemians didnt send their whole army to take it only a couple thousand

I'm not sure if this thread is still having attention paid to it, but there is a submod that may help. Look up 'meiou predator' in workshop search and it should be the first option.

This mod, as I understand, reintroduces a "predator system," in which some ai nations expand instinctually, as you would expect. Not as aggressive as vanilla, but still good.
Are you playing 1.29.6? Cos if you updated, it could be a problem

I was able to improve this by going into the "05_NAI" file in the mod's common/defines and changing NAI.AGGRESSIVENESS to 3000 and NAI.AGGRESSIVENESS_BONUS_EASY_WAR to 4500. This led to the Ottomans conquering all of Anatolia for the first time that I've seen, the English fully conquering Scotland, Muscowy blobbing as it should, and Naples taking all of Greece by 1560.

I also saw some stuff that might be undesirable, like the AI consistently smashing anyone I'd just won a war against because (presumably) they were so weak. This could all have been the placebo effect, but I was happy to see it, and it was nice to have to deal with competing blobs as Kano in West Africa.
