Basic units are too strong, elite units are weak and cost-ineffective
My issue with this mod: All units and especially the starting ones have high morale, armor and melee defense. This results in basic units performing very well vs elites.

Example: Young axes costing 250 gold frequently take out Indo-Kush swordsmen costing 500 gold with higher upkeep. Both units get their charge off and use abilities.

Problem: There is no reason to build better units. For the price and upkeep of one mid-tier army I can have two basic-tier armies and two armies will always surround and outperform a single army. This becomes even more evident for elite armies that cost up to 4 times as much as basic units of their type. There is no advantage to researching the military technology or investing into quality.

Realism: Basic inexperienced units should never perform this well or have the discipline not to break. A good warrior always defeats a weaker one and a good unit of men should crush a poor one.

Positives: Unit variety is good which is the feature that made me try out this mod.
