DLCs
Wouldn't it be possible to still Include the dlc's in the mod but dont make it a requirement so it is still possible to turn on? Because usually my friend has all the dlc's and we just play like that but in order to press the X i also need to have the dlc's which in my case seems retarted to buy
If this isnt possible ill just buy the dlc's because this is pretty awesome :D

So you want to play the game alone without your friend, but still have the dlc functionality?

That's not going to happen. (as far as i know) Go and buy the dlc so they can use the code for the mod still, without that it'll take forever for them to make more additions. (because there are allot of things with the dlc's they are already using)

No i wanted to play the game with my friend because he already has all the dlc's so it would be stu pid for me to buy them to just for this mod

Ck2 only needs the host to have the DLCs, not all the players. So if you only want to play the mod together with a friend, who owns the DLCs, just make him host the game and you should be fine.

but i can't enable the mod at the start so doesnt that mean i will get the error that i dont have the right workshop mods installed to enter?

I ain't sure how Steam works. If it blocks the mod because of DLC lacking, well then... Not a problem, I'll purge them from requirements :3

Strange. A friend of mine owns only the old gods, charlemagne and ways of life and can start the game with the mod without any problems...

u can play without dlc, the dlc is just highly recommended to play with, in order to get as much out of the mod as possible, i bought the holyfury dlc just so i could play the AGOT mod on moddb not the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam one. Also buying dlc just to play these mod types is worth it for me since i find vanilla ck2 rather boring.

Just thought I would recommend this. If you have a friend who has all DLCs and is willing to steam share, aslong as you have the main game yourself you should be able to benifit from the DLCs even if you are both playing at the same time. However I'm not 100% positive if this still works
