What I suggest would be a more federated aproach for lordaeron.
1) Lordaeron's subject states would get a rank 1 government reform what would modify subject liberty desire that it doesn't account for the strength of all subjects agains lordaeron, but only their strength and economic basis against Lordaeron's.
2) Events and Decisions on establishing new subjects like Tyr's Hand when the territory is uner your or your subject's control, with the option to refuse if someone wants to just have a huge unified kingdom, but that would open a huge can of problems with people trying to resist tyrany, and missing out on certain bonuses in the long run.
3) A reworked mission tree, where you can either go on an integrationary route, where your mission objectives relate to your subject's missions. This would mean that by helping out your subjects, you help yourself as well.
This would include
-Them owning certain territories, encouraging you to give them certain territories instead of just taking them for yourself.
-Deving their provinces for a small bonus for yourself as well.
For one idea, Lordaeron and Stratholme would both have the mission to develop stratholme city. Strathomle's is for "Stratholme" state to reach a certain number of development overall, while Lordaeron's is to dev it a certain number of times themselves.
Stratholme's mission will increase it's liberty desire and would help Stratholme head towards independence, while Lordaeron's would bring liberty desire down and would head towards integrating the region in the end, with the last mission of each branch (1 branch for every subject) would end with the annexation of the territory into lordaeron proper.
To make this a proper dilemma to integrate with the diplo screen or the mission tree, the diplo integration would be MUCH faster, but with the mission tree would come large bonuses, though it would take a lot longer.
To stay with stratholme, integrating it trough the mission tree would eventually give Lordaeron military benifits:
Military Advisor Cost: -15%
Infantry Combat Ability +10%
Cavalry Combat Ability +10%
Military Leaders without maintanance: +2
Land Force Limit: +10
Not all of these at once, of course, but each mission you complete on the stratholme route, brings you parts of it, and this is the end result.
Something similar to this could be done with Vandermar which would give you administrative benefits, Andorhall with Trade Benefits, Tyr's hand with Naval... yada yada.
What do you guys think about merging the Undead and Scourge culture groups?
I think especially a case could be made since Undead Troll are distinct from other Undead in their origin, and Death Knights often serve the Lich King, so they should be more easily accepted by the Scourge.
Would you consider merging them [if you aren't already planning to]?
If not [which is ofc fine], is there a reason not?
1. Veil Akraz (3814) Arak Rise (5458) & Skettis (3817) should be Arakkoa
2.Fallen Arakkoa & Arakkoa should be same culture group
3. Half of Shadowmoon valley should be Draenei, starting north with Rangari Enclave (5521), then Elodor Mine (5514), Embaari Village (3800), Embaari Enclave (5515), Embaari Vale (5510), Shimmerglade (5494), Shrine of Othaar (5491), & Socrethar’s Rise (3811). Everything on the continent (ie not Darktide) should be Draenei to the East of these provinces, including them with one possible exception see 4.
4. Shimmer Grounds (5493), Shimmerglade (5494), Shimmermoor (3809), Moonlit Thicket (5500), & Shimmering Woods (3808) could all be Faerie Dragonkin if one added a culture like this
5. Swampshore (5492) and some of the coast around it (perhaps Swamplight Shores (5490) & Swamplight Cave (5489)) should be Makrura/Bogstrok. If you did not add a Draenor Makrura culture, you should to the Lobstrok group. Perhaps use the Bogstrok Culture you already used in Outland. Also perhaps Gloomstained Coast (5402) should be Bogstrok.
6. Zangara should be Podling, Botani, Sporeling, or Spore Giant culture, including Zorammarsh (3786), Zoram Shore (5558), Zangarra Shore (5530), & Zangarra (3787). Also some of the land that is currently shown as Twilight Cultist should be Sporeling such as Fungal Chasm (5403), Bogwatch (5401), & Gloomspore Bog (3763).
7. Ogre Burial Grounds (5428) should be Ogre not Orc
8. Telaar (3755) should be Draenei and possibly where-ever Halaa is in Draenor, I don’t see a province called that though. This is also the case for wherever Telhamat is in Draenor.
9. Alot more of Talador should be Draenei, I’m not sure if my list is exhaustive or exact, but definitley: Orunai Village Iruanan (5423), Ceyegoidi Fields (5424), Shipyard of Devotion (5419), Vanguard of Light (5418), Terrace of Light (5420), Lower Shattrath (3771), Library of Wisdom (5421), Fields of Talador (3803), Shattrath Thicket (5422), Court of Souls (3769), Auchindoun Watch (5433), Tomb of Lights (3774), Shadowtomb (3775), & Ancient Burial Grounds (5434) Tuurem (3772) & Arunna (3773). However, Arunna was raided by Arakkoa, so depending on when the period is maybe it should switch to Arakkoa, or just lose base tax manpower etc). Tuurem also fell to orcs at some point hence why I’m not sure about Tuurem Pens (5449). I’m not sure about Oobun Village (5431), Nakruk’s Fall (5435), or Tomb of Iaeru (5541) for example so that’s why this one is less exhaustive. Shattrath Thicket though could be Orc due to the Bladewind Clan being in approx that area.
10. Perhaps Undead Dreanei could be good for places like Court of Souls (3769), Tomb of Iaeru (5541), Tomb of Lights (3774), Shadowtomb (3775), & Ancient Burial Grounds (5434) or make it Ghost culture. This also applies to much of Auchindoun area in Outland.
11. Shaz’gul (3810) should be Orc.
12. There should be some Gronn culture in Draenor. Certainly atleast Gronn Canyon (3835) & Fissure of Fury (5579)
13. Should there be some Rock Flayer and Mountain Giant provinces in Draenor?
14. Perhaps the Sporeling & Botani culture groups should merge.
15. In any case even if some of these should be orc as most were as left, they should atleast be original culture what is listed here.
I have some skill modding, though I've never done anything as incredible as this mod, but all the changes I have suggested here I am capable of doing and willing to do if you would like.
Additional odd question perhaps. If it's alternate Dreanor shouldn't most of the provinces not be Fel at all, but rather Shamanism or some heretical Shamanism?
Currently seize land is very limited and doesn't match the number of estates you can get in the mod.
