I'll make a really simple guide then.

1. go to library > Games
   
2. Make sure you launch the correct one! The one that's only named Starbound. steam://rungameid/211820
   
3. Create a character (randomize it if you want, idc). Check [Skip Intro] then make the character
   
4. Follow the quest til you can land on the planet
   
5. Warp down to the planet
   
6. Mine a dirt block (i will not describe it... you know how dirt looks like!)
   
7. Open your crafting menu
   
8. Find the Soda
   
9. Now craft it
   
10. (Optional) Split the stack and put 50% of the original stack in each hand. (Split by default is Shift+Right Click)
    
11. Now drink it by pressing either Left mouse button or Right mouse button (unless you rebinded it...), just use the item.
    
12. (Optional) Auto clicker! I won't explain this, just google it...
    
13. after you've used a significant amount of Soda, save the game.
    
14. Quit to main menu
    
15. Quit to desktop
    
16. Go HERE
    
17. Boost the "READY TO BOOST" points by pressing "BOOST"
    
18. Thank me later...

If it does not show in your mod list, then the fix is; if you restart steam and re sub it should redownload the mod and the mod should show up in the list. To view the list if the mod is there or not, open the game and at the main menu, look in the bottom right corner for a cog wheel looking icon. press it and it will show mod list.

Note: your cap is reached when; ["READY TO BOOST" + "POINTS BOOSTED" = "MAX POINTS"]. When the cap is reached you will NOT gain any points, before your cap is increased!
