I don't think you can get banned for using a feature Valve poorly implemented. If it's anyone's fault, it's Valve themselves.

not a single person who is using this is cheating in any way, shape, or form. this is the utilization of a game's features and the workshop without using ANY method of external or internal alteration to either steam or the game itself

you could have just as easily spawned in a million soda's using the /admin command in the game, as with virtually every other quest. it isn't our fault gabe didn't put a shred of oversight into this

Is there seriously nobody out there who understands how the sale system works? If you think this is an actual exploit, then you don't understand how this works.

Not to mention, someone could have figured this out on ACCIDENT, and it wouldn't be fair to ban someone because they drank a lot of sodas in a game and had NO CLUE

im no longer part of a team and i cant join one(only after doing the "exploit"), i think that qualifies as a ban

do this, but remember its dishonest. you are gaming the system, and taking away money from developers who thought they could still make money during the sale.
if you are just leveling, that doesn't matter. but if you are using it for free games, then it sorta does.

It's not going to happen. Even the people who exploited themselfs to level 10000 at the beginning of this event didn't get banned.

besides the massive out cry from the amount of people who did this would be so massive it'll just make valve look like the idiots for not removing the soda "exploit" after all they did put it in and its not really an exploit due to there being no ironman mode for starbound and not to mention basically a giant amount of people would get banned if they never even knew about the exploit who drank the in game soda so something like this could end in a legal battle for valve to deal with if they were to ban people for this from the people they banned or hell even Chucklefish might slam down the lawsuit

If it takes 15,000 points to even get a $5 coupon, you basically have to buy stuff to get those points because your max cap is hit before that otherwise. So Steam still gets your money and comes out ahead.

and im pretty sure there is no chance of getting banned as long as your using it just for the xp boost

I feel the need to point you one doesn't even need the mod, admin commands can summon the sodas just as quickly
