Sorry "leon2356" I accidentally deleted your post! Your original question "I know the mod is called RimTaser but, anyway you could add a stun baton? Just as an option for melee pawns or pawns that can't use ranged weapons.". Simple answer is yes! There will be melee tasers coming for sure! So please rest assured this is a feature coming soon.

Np when I reloaded the page I saw that you had just made this post so I was like one second ahead of you LOL!

Also, so happy to hear that stun batons are coming. Going to make my prison so much easier to run. Was getting tired of my pawns breaking eyes and shooting off limbs of my prisoners. LOL!

Haha glad there was no misunderstanding! But yes, I'll get this worked on for you.

The "Tazed" effect gives a <100% multiplier to pain, which actually means that the more you get hit with tazers, the less pain you feel. From all accounts I can find, being tased is supposed to be really really painful, so it would be more appropriate with a +x% effect instead, that increases with the Tazed level.

That's ture, although with this mod, should you taser someone one they are down they will die, it only needs to hit the pawn.

I'll accept that as a "feature", even though I accidentally killed a prisoner recently. =)

But the pain thing feels a bit silly, and actually makes it harder to down someone, if you tase someone who already a bit beat up. Generally it's the pain that brings a pawn down in these situations.

When I was tased it didn't hurt until afterwards and it was because I arched my back so hard.
Glad to see this mod got some attention since I last played; it really seems like a much more fun/interesting/complex alternative to the "flat reduction in death-on-downed-chance" category of mods.

Excited to see where you take it!

I'm sure this would be a TON of work, but it would be interesting to experiment with a recharging mechanic. Perhaps taser weapons have limited shots and must be recharged by placing them on like...a charged weapon rack or something, and this consumes a lot of electricity.

an Idea to limit instant death on downed pawns if they get tased a bit to much maybe send them into cardiac arrest or another life endangering condition to give you a bit of time to save someone, specially when hostile pawns are bringing tasers and their accuracy isn't always the best.

At least to animals, the taser doesn't count as a weapon, letting you tase animals your pawn is right next to that would usually attack you immediately, like emus and thrumbos, without them going manhunter. It could just be my mods, though.
