WLA: Redux
Hello everyone,
I've asked Saok for permision to do this a few years back. Finally I got my hand on it.

First thing is: Fixing issues, script synthax, outdated code, bugs and errors, etc.

I'm pretty sure that you were always able to call in mortar support from mortar units you've placed via Shift-C construction. I thought it doesn't work anymore due to a script error that appears when opening that menu with Shift-6. However, I've fixed this and it works, but only with mortar/artillery units that were called in via Call Support menu. I'm not sure anymore. Tier 1 Artillery mod lets you use the others though (and I've never seen them firing on their own anyway. So I guess I'm going to fix/change this too).

I've also fixed some other non-critical script typos as well as outdated SQF synthax. Also the text formatting and GUI boxes that became way too small over the time due to outdated coding, is now fixed.

So far I can't find any other issues or broken features. So please tell me if you find something, so I can take a look and try to fix it.

After the bugfixing I plan to improve this thing a bit. I MIGHT be taking suggetions - IF I find them interesting enough. I mainly do this for myself and so others still can enjoy this masterpiece in 2023. Please don't spam this thread with unecessary things. For now I'm focussing on bugfixing.

No way! I absolutely did not expect anyone nor Saok to still care about this scenario! I wish you a lot of luck and I hope more people will still get to enjoy this mod I've spent hundreds of hours into.

If you could add the options to buy and place mods' static weapons in the scenario it will be great. :steamhappy:

I'm myself thinking about adding more faction mod support. I don't think that it will be hard to do. I just don't know yet how I'm going to implement it. And the thing is that Saok's kind of "sorting" and commenting on certain parts of code is .... well, let's say it's quite unique :D
But when I was fixing the synthax/code stuff I actually got a pretty good idea of it. But it will take a while.

I eagerly await your updated redux version of this amazing SP dynamic campaign. I played this to death....literally (I kept getting shot all the time!!). Can't wait. Good luck and thanks for taking this job on. Do Saok proud.

I'm glad that others like to play it too. I'm a bit short on time right now, so I'm thinkinng about first releasing just the fixed version, which doesn't bring anything new, but fixes all known issues.

hey man take you r time i think we will like new feature like mods and more factions etc but i am sure we are happy with anything you do it was the best mission ever and if some one can make it better i am sure we can wait

Yeah, take your time! Although I'd say to release the fixed version too; that way we could test it and help if there are still issues remaining and provide feedback. But awesome job you're doing!
